LOL!! I said Old Oscar not old Corrales. Corrales was young and undefeated, true but who the fuck is he? Like JLC and Gatti.....he won't touch a HOF status. The only HOF Floyd fought is Oscar and Marquez.

Believe me....once that 0 turns to a 1....his supposedly "top 40" ATG status will come crashing down to the 80's -100's. Some one mentioned here about winning 5 titles in different division. I apologize that I had forgotten about that. That should still carry Floyd in the top 100 ATG list.

definitely, floyd was the man moving up. he more than did enough to prove he was an elite fighter. most people just question his recent antics. anybody who discredits floyds career needs to stop. but lets not act like he fought EVERYONE.

like i said in an earlier post, the WW division was stacked when floyd "retired". he had plenty of options. shane fought plenty of elite fighters IN THEIR PRIME (oscar, margarito, cotto, vargas, wright, forrest). whether he won or lost, we respect him for FIGHTING them. the only recent fighter shane outwardly ducked was paul williams. NOBODY wanted paul williams. LOL. but im sure shane was desperate enough at one point where he wouldve fought paul.

manny fought 2 solid ranked WW (cotto, clottey) once he settled as a WW. and had matched floyds victories (oscar, ricky) but ended them in more spectacular fashion... especially for a fighter that was still new to WW.
other than floyd, manny basically fought anyone that was put in front of him that made sense... who in the WW division was the public begging for him to fight? there is plenty of debate when it comes to fights he could have made in lightweight, but he was trying to establish himself as a WW since it was the more lucrative division...

the boxing public was BEGGING for floyd to fight cotto, margarito, etc.
whether floyd was officially "called out" is another point of debate.
but like i said, there were PLENTY of elite fighters waiting to fight.
