Why do people think a slick boxer will beat Pacquiao?

I can see a counter puncher but the whole advantage of being slick is having better footwork/footspeed, being quicker/more elusive and having better handspeed than your opponent. In all honesty, what fighter has any of those advantages over Manny?

This is why I don't get the whole "Slick fighter" arguement. I could see if he was an Arthur Abraham or Kelly Pavlik, but Pac is fast enough to cut off the ring against anyone in boxing, and with his footwork and cordination....I cant see anyone turning him either.

Floyd Mayweather is the perfect, elusive, defensive, slick, counter puncher that can beat Pac.

When you watch Pac struggle in the first round of the Cotto fight due to Cotto jabbing and boxing him then you watch the JMM fight were Pac looked confused by JMM's counter punching its easy to see why we people think a slick fighter will beat him.

Also he hasnt shown us that he can beat a fighter who wont come right at him yet.

Cause folks think that Pac will get countered all night long, and will not land a single punch.....

      At least-

      That is what they hope.

      Bottom line-

If your name ain't Floyd/Mosley/Williams-You ain't ****ing with Pac.

He struggled against a flat footed counter puccher in JMM. So many are interested to see what would happen if he fought a guy like JMM with faster feet.

for the most part he has avoided them. They didn't want any part of Joan Guzman and he directly called them out. They were the 2 top dogs in the division and Guzman wanted a fight to settle who was number 1....it didn't happen.

Also to alot of fans Pac has avoided Floyd Mayweather.

This is prob why alot of people think a slick counterpuncher will beat Pac.

Because a skilled slick boxer named Juan Manuel Marquez looked very good against pac in 2 close fights.

Throw in Guzman at the lighter weights and maybe Alexander and Bradley and i agree.

Pac is a sucker for the right hand if throw enough times. Not saying he would lose to anyone who is slick but movement plus the right hand in Pac face is something that he finds hard to deal with.

They just like to throw that reference to Floyd out there. When they say slick, they mean Floyd, because any fighters he have fought so far aren't "good enough".

When Clottey threw his right hand he barely missed the guy.
