it actually depends on the ****tail of performance enhancers you take and more importantly when you cycle off them. Use just roids and cycle off too late and you are going to have a tight back come fight night.

It depends on what, when and how long.

Also the best way to mitigate negative side-effects of steroids is via strenuos cardiovascular exercise. This is how Holyfield was able to abuse them for a very very long time. Only now he is starting to have problems. I read somewhere he had some heart problems. Prolonged steroid abuse alters the left ventricle of the heart...the walls thicken.

This is crap, Toney looked like a damn world beater when he fought Ruiz, and what you talking about Mosley? The guy beat DLH the first time around because of good he looked in the later rounds.

No, but they allow you to recover faster so you can work towards sharpening and developing your talent and skills.

Put it to you this way and I'm not accusing him of anything. Wlad has all this power, if he never went to the gym and hit the bag, etc. all his talent would be untapped and undeveloped, so he wouldn't hit as hard.

Judah and others has shown that taalent and skill isn't **** without conditioning, just like Margarito and others has proven that conditioning can beat talent and skill.

Steroids give these guys an unfair advantage of being able to recuperate faster than others from the grueling training they go through. Imagine waking up after having hit the gym for hours the day before and not feeling the aches and pains of it. Or being able to work out even more than usual. And I'm no expert on this, so imagine all the other added underlying benefits to steroids.

Performance enhancing drugs (the vast majority) are for TRAINING. So, yes. They do make you a better fighter.

What did we always hear about the steroid users 'Oh, he trained so hard. He was the first one there and the last one to leave". Yeah... the drugs helped him to do that.

If I can take drugs that allow me to train longer, harder and to recover faster than you...does that help me get better?

It's not like I take a syringe and my power becomes 3x, or my jab becomes laser-like. No. But what happens is that I get to train longer, and harder. While you are wiped out, i still have the stamina to keep working.

...and all that extra training makes me better.

That is why sports authorities have 'out of competition testing". MOST of the testing done by WADA is OOC. Because they know that it's during the training periods that people REALLY need the drugs.

If I can train longer and get my lungs to expand and my red blood cells richer, I have the benefit (ON FIGHT NIGHT) of all that training....even though the drugs were out of my system since last week.

            Feel me?
Finally someone with some common sense....good post
