Hopkins doesn't get enough credit for the Pavlik win.

All I hear is negativity. Hopkins holds, he's dirty, Pavlik is one dimentional.

This man was 43 years old in that fight, against a 26 year old with a huge punch and unbeaten. Almost everyone said Pavlik was going to knock him out and not only did Hopkins win, he battered Pavlik, entertained, his hand speed was blistering, he came in with the perfect game plan and carried it out.

That is possibly the best win of the last decade.

I repeat, the man was 43 years old, it was an incredible achievement.

    He looked good. Yes.

But as usual He was at a catch weight fighting a smaller guy.

He fought Pavlik at 170. 10 Pounds higher then his best weight.

He was fighting a middleweight at light heavyweight. He whooped that middleweight's ass for 12 rounds and still couldn't stop him.

He deserves as much credit for that win as Floyd deserves for Marquez. None.

We agree on a fair bit off stuff but that is just a poor excuse. You know that Pavlik is a big guy. Could easily fight at 168lbs.

The weight excuse is such bull****. Pavlik had fought close to 170 many times in his earlier days and fought at 164 against Taylor the second time. Pavlik did the same thing he does at 160, Hopkins just took that away.

as you can see from the haters above after time they love to discredit hopkins wins, despite most of them saying hopkins was going to get KTFO, etc. Always an excuse.

My favorite is when they discredit the Tarver win, as if Bernard Hopkins paid of Rocky to hire Tarver to play the part of Mason Dixon. It was Bernard's master plan!

Every time Pavlik fought above 160, he fought tomato can bums. Pavlik can't and won't cut it above 160.

Right anything to back this up? Pavlik has looked poor anytime he has fought over MW
