Not that old broken record again. Haye is no more the same fighter that lost to Thompson than Wlad is the same fighter who lost to Purrity. That was only Haye's 11th professional fight, and his tactics were extremely naive. He simply punched himself out, like Wlad did against Purrity and Brewster - but he is a completely different fighter now.

You could say that he has shown little evidence since he moved to Heavyweight that he has what it takes to have much chance against the Klitschkos, and I wouldn't disagree with you. But to bring up the Thompson fight is plain ******.

And your traingulation theory is also silly. Don't you know that styles make fights? Holyfield did well against the slow Valuev, but can't cut it with fast fighters any more.

Holyfield has already taken too much punishment in his career, and is already in real danger of suffering permanent brain damage. No way should a fast fighter with a big punch like Haye be allowed in the same ring with him. That would be a terrible day for boxing.

Holyfield should fight guys like Audley Harrison, he can win those fights. Stay away from the Klitschkos please.

Great holyfield. Nobody can take away your iron will and not to mention love to fight !!! Take a fight with haye and knock him out. We dont need pretenders like haye as heavyweight champs.

Holyfield should be content witht his win and retire. Go out with a win. But he won't he will keep on fighting like so many.

this was for that WBF trinket right?

i think holyfeild would put up a better fight with the k-brothers then their last opponents have, he would definately take the fight to them. How long he would last i dont know but i hope someone dethrones them soon, and i know its not gonna be david haye

Close? He's been at the end for a long time now.

No pal what we don't need is people at the age of 40+ whose best days are clearly behind them still fighting! it is bad for boxing! Holyfield needs saving from himself! If anything happens to him, inside the ropes now, or mentally down the line, I hope people do not blame boxing!
