Well tell me a guy when you compare his amount of Championships to the second best then thier ratio are 16 to 3....He won 16 of 35 possible championchips and even missed a few due to injures or personal problems.....NO other athlete has dominated his sport like Tiger....note that golfer compete against hundreds of other golfers while most sport compete against against only a few
If Ali was at his prime today, he would be bigger than Tiger, Kobe, or Lebron

If Ali is in this era.... boxing is a mainstream sport today... the guy is exciting , got personality and fights everyone
to be honest, the only reason boxing is not mainstream is not because of the media... its the people that makes a sport mainstream, that means that our top boxers controls on how the sport will flourish ... how did the other sports become mainstream anyway? the answer is people are interested to the person....
Both floyd and Pac, even DLH are good but they all failed to get boxing back to mainstream.... because theyre lacking something to be the "one"
floyd = boring, cherry pick like crazy but his personality is above average
pac = boring personality that dont know english...
DLH = dont know how to win big fights
honestly if only we have a trashtalker like floyd, with the fighting style like pac.... boxing would be mainstream today.Comment

Because the Djihad issue was the issue that cost Ali the license: Ali claimed that he is a pacifist (= didn't want to be a soldier in the Vietnam war), but then he talked about "Wars are OK if Allah orders them".
Here is the chronology:
- Ali fails the US Army qualifying test because of writing and spelling skills.
- Then the tests got revised and Ali was drafted.
- Wikipedia: When notified of this status... Ali stated... "We are not supposed to take part in no wars unless declared by Allah"
- Ali goes to the Appeal Board.
- Department of Justice writes a letter to the Appeal Board: The letter says that Ali fails the "legal draft-dodger test". To be a legal draft dodger ("conscientious objector") Ali must meet 3 definitions:
- Must be against ANY war = including Allah's wars.
- Must dodge because of religion. Ali claims his dodging is on religious grounds as taught by Honorable Elijah Muhammad (Nation of Islam) but the Department of Justice says that Nation of Islam is a political and racial group, not a religious group.
- Must be sincere. The Department of Justice claims that Ali is not sincere since dodging sprang into his mind in the very moment he was drafted and his pacifism was never heard of before.
- Ali testifies
- "Every bit of what the Holy Qur'an and the teachings of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad tell us and it is that we are not to participate in wars... on the side of nonbelievers, and this is a Christian country and this is not a ****** country"
- "The police of Los Angeles were wrong about attacking and killing our brothers and sisters and ... the outright every day oppressors and enemies are the people as a whole: the whites of this nation. So, we are not, according to the Holy Qur'an, to even as much as aid in passing a cup of water to... even a wounded. I mean this is in the Holy Qur'an."
- "The Holy Qur'an do teach us that we do not take ... in any part of war unless declared by Allah himself, or unless it's an Islamic World War or a Holy War"
- The Supreme Court then rules in Ali's favour because the Appeal Board copied the CONCLUSION from the letter of the Department of Justice but forgot to state which of the 3 TESTS Ali actually failed.
Please also note that someone can INDEED assume that Ali was an extremist, because he even changed his first name and surname to Islamic names.Last edited by knn; 04-09-2010, 04:11 PM.Comment
