If Ali was at his prime today, he would be bigger than Tiger, Kobe, or Lebron

that has nothing to do with anything.

inequality was horrible back in the days. while its still present today, its not nearly as bad as it was from the 80's and back.

but i agree. ALi wouldnt have that **** to stand on these days and if he tried. it would be career suicide b/c blacks would separate ourselves from that pro-black racist talk

How big would Ali be after he got crushed by Vitali or left in a coma by Wlad. And I know a lot of Ali fanboys who cant explain how he lost to Norton 3 times, or didnt beat Frazier till he was on the decline, or whose best real fight was with a guy who had been recently shot in the stomach or against a guy who lost to Tommy the Machine Gunn, or rigged fights etc...How big is Ali going to be when he cant threaten or bribe the judges. You know he's not knocking Vitali out. Dude couldnt knock Wepner out in 15, he isnt even touching Vitali.

But here is the other side, I think Vitali would murder Ali in the ring, however, I am sure some of you would come back and say that Vitali is trash etc...Ali would dance and beat Vitali like he beat Ole Henry (190 lbs british dude who knocked Ali into another time zone). So even if he beat Ali and Wlad easily, all of his accomplishments would just be written off with "HW division is weak." What made Ali was the media hype accompanied by the fact that he wasnt dominant. He had close decisions constantly, let bums go the distance, and lost to guys. Without losing KN 1, no one really cares about KN 2 or 3.

I would argue that Ali was more popular than those guys because in those days most of his fights were shown all across the world, on free to air television.

          Exactly.

Aside from the fact that he was a follower of a crazy belief (white people being devils who had been genetically created by Mr Yacub, an evil scientist from outer space) he would have no chance to be big today with his racist slant:

          Muhammad Ali on integration:
"We who follow the teachings of Elijah Muhammad don't want to be forced to integrate. Integration is wrong. We don't want to live with the white man"
          Muhammad Ali on intermarriage:
"No intelligent black man or black woman in his or her right black mind wants white boys and white girls coming to their homes to marry their black sons and daughters."
Muhammad Ali on the need for a separate black homeland:
"Why don't we get out and build our own nation? White people just don't want their ****** to be free. That's the whole thing. Why not let us go and build ourselves a nation? We want a country. We're 40 million people, but we'll never be free until we own our own land."
          Muhammad Ali on brotherhood:
"We're not all brothers. You can say we're brothers, but we're not."
          Muhammad Ali on Al-Qaeda:
"I've opened up businesses across the country, selling products and I don't want to say... the wrong thing and hurt my business."
Muhammad Ali on him being the greatest:
"I figured that if I said it enough, I would convince the world that I really was the greatest."
Somebody should make a sig out of that crap.

Ali was only the **** because of the competition he faced. They were the best in history and Ali beat them all. How would we be able to call this guy the best HW ever if he has to prove his skills against the bag of **** heavies we got right now. No one would care about Ali talking **** about the Klits or Haye. Toney does it all the time and its not like he was that out of it when he began his insults.
