But other than that... I think Ali would be on Kobe Lebron level, or at least the level a Prime Michael Vick was, but I still thinks if he were a prime fighter today, Tiger still beats him in popularity and marketing.
    Since when what?

No its not always but in Tigers case the means justify the ends....Tiger dominates like no other person has ever in any sport, sp money in this case does point to being the best

Not in this Heavyweight Era. Ali is the Greatest but he had top notch opponents. He would be in a Klitchko mess. He could beat every1 and still chace Haye and Valuev to prove he has beaten every1.

What is pretty much meant was what if everything was pushed up by 25-30 years, how would the world percieve ALI

Your knowledge about sports must be very limited if you think that

Though i wish you were right, i don't think you are. In the time of Ali's prime people only had like 3 tv channels, and all boxings big events would be on 1 of those channels & also be covered on the radio. People would go to their friends house who had a tv and watch the fights.

But in this day and age, you have to have a decent job if you want to follow boxing.

$40 cable bill, plus $8 for showtime $8 for HBO, and $59.95 for every PPV event.

So its $56 a month just to keep up with boxing, and then if you want to see any of the sports top fighters face each other you have to spend an additional $59.95 to do it.

in the old days, as long as you had a tv and some rabbit ears, you could watch the best in the biz go at it.

I think the internet will help boxing a bit, cause people can youtube fights, stream fights, etc, so as long as you have a enough money for a decent computer and a highspeed internet connection you can watch whatever fights you want.

However with the internet you have to look for boxing, in the old 3 channel there was a 33% chance that if you were watching tv during a big boxing event, you saw it.

Rather than just accusing that person of having a limited sports knowledge, you should offer up examples that disproves his previous statement.

probably not. boxing is a fringe sport today.
