Ali wouldn't be as big now as he was then, no way.

The reason he is so popular is because of the way he acted towards the Viatnam war and the civil rights movement, people who are saying he didn't get enough coverage, ****ing lol he got plenty and is one of the most recognizable faces in the world.

If he was fighting today he would be just an amazing boxer, not the legend he became.

what does that have to do with anything. eventhoough its not right, you cant change the fact that the ****** religion is under a spot light right now.

I disagree I think he would have found something else today to make him great or to bring out his greatness....No Vietnam war but there are many wars going on in the middle east and I am sure Ali would have something to say about them...Lefty

thats true but thats b.c the time and which ALI came from.

if he was coming to popularity over the last 20 years. he woudnt be as big as he was in the 60's, not even close.

actaully, he most likely be less popular b/c his antics back then wouldnt fly today

not sure if you remember, but speaking out against the war until recent was a career ender...

does the dixie chics come to mind?

He wouldn't be forced to go fight for these wars today like he was for the Vietnam war, so he wouldn't have anything to say really.

I agree. Ali is charasmatic, talks better trash then Floyd and Paulie combined and has an exciting fighting style. On top of that he speaks his mind and isnt afraid of anyone.
