In all honestly, there are some guys I don't even know who the **** they are.

Ad Wolgast ?? I've always tought that the 80 's 90 's 00's are underrated when we talk about history, considering that pretty much all sports are in constant evolution and technique are always better

I don't know a lot about fighters before Ali's time, but seeing Rocky Marciano so high tells me something is wrong with this list. But Bert Sugar knows a lot more about boxing than me.

Tyson shouldn't be on there at all, evander is too high, that's the glaring things for me.

These things are subjective, this isn't a bad list

          http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?hum...9466&cat=boxer

How the **** a guy like Lew Jenkins is higher than Tyson, Lewis, Pacquiao, Floyd. People will say I'm a boxrec warrior and yes, I admit, I have never seen Jenkins fight, however I highly doubt he is ahead of the guys i just mentionned

The omission of Michael Spinks is ridiculous. So is his ranking of Jack Dempsey at #9. After all, Bert Sugar is the guy who was talking about Roy Jones not being ranked that high and saying "he lacks the criteria of meeting and beating other greats".

Just like Jack Dempsey fought and beat all those greats. Oh wait, he didn't.

you should post this on the history area, ull get a better response.

I think historians try sound like they know it all by ranking unknown fighters high. Old time fighters in like 1920/30s get rated way to high. Overated in my opinion.

what is Bert Sugar's criteria for measuring greatness????

he obviously disregards actual footage of a fighter in an actual fight because if i'm certain there ain't **** on Greb and many others on this list
