just wanted to no what got u all into boxing, and if this can have an affect on the sort of fighters you like. i got into boxing cause my brother always talked about it (he's 12 years older) since i can remerber and he always said boxing was about hitting and not getting hit which is one of the reasons i think mayweather is my fav boxer. wat about u

No boxing is about taking as much punishment as possible back and forth until one guy falls down. No skill involved at all, that's what we want to see some real warrior ish. (sarcasm)

Back in 1970 when I was 5 years old my old man would put me on restriction if I didn't wake him up to watch a fight. I would watch all the fights with him growing up. His favorite fighters were Ali and Duran. Back in those days every fighter fought anybody.....no ducking back in the day. I can still remember the fight when Holmes fought Tex Cobb and Howard Cocell was calling that fight........that was the last fight Howard called because Holmes put a beat down on Cobb. I still think they should go back to 15 round championship fights!

In Puerto Rico they make boxing carnivals for three days.one particular kid was talking **** to me bcuz I was with my boys from my barrio and him with his boys(we knew of each other from school).we were watching a boxing match. And he told me if I was too ***** to put the gloves with him. I said whenever little that I knew his uncle was in charge of the whole tournament. Eventually I put the gloves at the end of the fights and he whipped my ass. After that I vowed never to get humiliated like that no more and started boxing.two years later I knock the same guy out in less than a minute in a tournament

well my dad use to watch it all da time wen i was a kid so it just stuck wit me but i really took boxing close to religion lol was cuz of miguel cotto
