You're looking at it all wrong. he didn't beat Freddie, ****m, and Bhop.. he beat bhop.

Bhop is stubborn.. he's going to do what HE wants to do in the ring, nothing more. ****m was a fitness coach. he helped prepare nard when Fischer was training him. He's great at getting people in absolute shape, but he aint showing these guys nothing they don't already know.

Bhop is still going to fight bhops fight regardless who is in his corner, don't get it twisted and think he's following some Plan that ****m has laid out for him.

I'm in the gym with these dudes, i know.

End of the day though, I still think that calzaghe looked very amateurish against nard - you have to be pretty weird to disagree. He got the W, i commend him for that. But IMO i still had it a draw, and that's before bias comes into play.

This whole he was old and Calzaghe was a young 19 year old on a hot streak just entering his prime is just not going to cut if fellas, especially after a great(his best) performance against Pavlik and Joe being a 36 year old 45 fight and I think nearly 20 year vet.

Guys have to stop acting like the pavlik win is something special though. Pavlik played the sick card (who knows if it's true, claims he's got medical records for proof) but sick or not the dude is absolutely tailor made for nard.

nard fought his usual fight that night, but he looked more spectacular because his opponent was that much worse. I felt good watching that fight cause I had called it right on the money. Told everyone I've never seen Pavlik throw a hook, ever.. everything he throws is down the pipe.. someone with lateral movement and wont sit there will have a field day. .and that's what happened.

He pivots, and gets circled. he never side steps and cuts off the ring. He's got a lot of terrible tendencies and kessler fights the exact same way... go figure.. a mover beat him.

People give credit for the wrong wins IMO. Like Mosley and Margi... I couldn't have called that better. Mosleys clinch prevents margi from ever getting anything off - pretty much the story of the fight. Mosley attacks, clinches ,margi never gets off.

running into counters and not being able to touch his opponent? what a grand achievement indeed.

If anything, Bhop lost the fight, Calzaghe didn't win it.

He was slapping the air with some of the ugliest stuff i'd ever seen. it was a pretty ugly performance. Sure, he got the W, but be real, it didn't look like a win by any means. It's hardly something for his fans to brag about.. not like he beat anyone up.

lol...if hopkins came to fight, and not hold, headbutt, hit on the break, and lowblow, and just threw punches, calzaghe would have outpointed him even more clearly and cleanly...

lets be real here..HOPKINS made that fight ugly, not calzaghe...

above that, who expected calzaghe to move up 1 division, and land power punches as if he was trinidad or shane mosley?..use any excuse you choose, but hopkins simply could not do nothing with calzaghe...

So this is why he threw almost a record high amount of punches in over 5 years? because Pavlik is so bad, had nothing to do with Joe having a unique frustrating style and him being a very good fighter himself?

What then if Pavlik goes on to due great things?

You can't take credit away from fighters and dismiss wins due to "style mismatches" that is an excuse.

If nothing shady happens the better man just won that night

Those nights, Joe> B-hop Hop> Pavlik and SSM > Marg

cept put him down, outbox him, land all the clean punches and barely get hit in return while calzaghe threw a bunch of crappy windmill punches that didn't land and hoped it fooled the judges. who did nothing again?
