I didn't think Rahman would beat Lewis in Africa, because, well, why would I?

I picked De La Hoya to win the Mosley rematch as I figured Oscar would have a better game plan the 2nd time around (he did) and Mosley hadn't been performing well around that time period. Unlike many I didn't have a problem with the decision (at least not after re-watching it), nor do I have problem with anyone scoring it for DLH (the only problem I have is people using a meaningless system like Compubox to claim DLH won). Of course Mosley was on EPO & roids too. I don't buy the "he looked bad, they didn't help him" excuse. Mosley didn't look good because Oscar had a better game plan and Mosley usually doesn't look good at 154.

I picked Ruddock to beat Lewis because I totally wasn't impressed with what I had seen of Lewis up to that point. Obviously I wasn't alone, I remember USA did a poll during Tuesday Night Fights whom they thought would come out on top of the Holyfield/Bowe/Lewis/Ruddock fights and Lewis got by far the least votes.

I picked Hamed to beat Barrera because I thought Barrera would get hit too much against the big punching Hamed. I also had read that he had looked bad against Valbuena so there was su****ion that the first Morales war had taken too much out of him. He apparently looked good the next time around against Salud but I didn't see that fight.

I thought that Cotto would beat Pac.

My basic reasoning was that, despite his defensive flaws and stamina, Cotto always lands a good number of punches, and IIRC none of his opponents had outlanded him before the Pac fight. I expected them to both land good punches early, and for Pac to wilt first, I thought his punch resistance would be lower at 147 than it turned out to be.

I thought that it might be somewhat like Cotto-Judah, Cotto-Corley or Cotto-Torres, with MG's power and determination meaning that he would ultimately wear down and overpower Pacquiao even if he had problems early on.

Another few I would throw in is that I said that Sheika and Lacy had a good chance against Jones Jr because of him being shot and chinny and them having power. Then when Jones fought Green I bet on Roy to win, so I didn't do too good at picking who he was more vulnerable to lol.

The only few that come to mind are:

De La Hoya over Pac - Majority of the forum had this, DLH was obviously drained at the weight, but Pac deserves his due, he anhilated the golden boy.

Jones over Green - I gave Green a punchers chance, not a KO in 1 round that ended Roy's career.

Kessler over Ward - I knew Ward was a good fighter, but i thought Kessler was better.

I picked Chambers over Wladimir out of pure bias, even though I knew his chances were VERY SLIM.

Same. I really dont like Pacquiao but I have to give him credit because I thought Hatton and Cotto would beat him.

Mijares vs Darchinyan= I was a Mijares fan at the time because I like his southpaw, counterpunching style. I though he would embarrass Vic because Vic has a ****ty defense plus he's so slow.
Pavlik vs Hokins=I overlooked B-Hop experience and antics against the young popwerful fighter with a high work rate, I though he would murder BHop.
De La Hoya vs Pacquiao=My worst pick ever...of course I never expected the Pacman to come to welter and beat even a weight drained Oscar, I though Manny was suicidal.
