yup its because he wasnt good enough at fighting guys his own weight. now he is obv and roach moved him up
that roach is one smart son of a gun, think about it, if fighting at 130 against marquez while being a light welter was so difficult. imagine what a top 140 fighter would have done to pac? the counter hitting shots would have been stronger coming back to him.
now pac has peaked it didnt matter, i wasnt on this forum then but i told everyone on other forums, pac would have been exposed by top fighters at 140, so roach kept him severely drained which i think did affect his performance while he taught him to fight 2 handed and introduce that dancing style to his boxing
pacman is a total rhythm boxer like ali was, just watch his fight, its surprising since he used to have those ****o sticks smacked on him that he could become that type of guy. nobody has been able to disrupt his rhythm since his peak. maybe floyd can if he connects with some good countersComment

that scares the hell out of me, remember what pac did to hatton, when ricky tried to tie him up pac took 2 steps back and launched some stinging shots. I dunno man, when two top boxers face, I always favour the guy who has less upper body weight as they will generally always be quicker in terms of body and hand movement.
floyd will have to become the 130 version style for me or he better get ready to take pretty out of his name if he doesntComment

I do not agree here buddy. The only reason Pac fought at those lower weights to begin with is because that was where the money was and the fights people wanted back then. Who the hell wasn't asking for JMM-Pac 2? The world wanted to see it bad. Pac was generally killing himself to get down to that weight because A.) he was still effective despite the weight loss and B.) that's where the fights were to be made. After Barrera/Morales, and Marquez business at 130lbs was over, they had to move up for better fights and of course he wasn't going to just jump to WW without testing the waters so they send him to 135lbs first which makes sense.yup its because he wasnt good enough at fighting guys his own weight. now he is obv and roach moved him up

Looks can be deceptive but I always thought Pacquaio was a big featherweight. Pacquiao was bigger than most of his opponents in the lower weights apart from El Terrible (lost). Thats was part of what made him so successful.
You look at his body compared MAB and Marquez when he fought them, Pacquiao looked drained with hardly no fat on his body and he was coming in on the scale limit. Then you look at MAB and Marquez with a healthy small amount of fat on thier bodies.
I knew then that his body had the potential to go up in weight but there's no way his defence could allow him to take leathers from welters the same way he took at featherweight.
That's his main improvement that allowed to move up. It's not his power it's his defence. He don't get hit as much as before.
As for his increase in muscle, thats just natural if a man trains the same as he use to but don't need to starve himself all year round to make fights. His muscle mass will increase as well as his walkaround weight.Comment

Pac is a Legit Welter now.
Was he before? Well was Oscar a legit at 135 when he's 5 10?
Or Cotto at 140 when he coems in at 160?Comment

I do too. But Floyd trying to leap inside to throw a shot or tie Pac up is only asking to be timed with a massive left or right hook. I really don't see how Pac can lose this fight if all the other bigger WW than Floyd, he's walked right through their power to dish out his own. Nor can Floyd compete wtih the workrate of Pac which means if he can't keep up with him or get Pac to stop throwing punches, Pac will bank rounds left n right. Pac wants this fight bad, I don't think he's gonna lose it.Comment
