If one doesn't like Wladimir because he is boring (arguably), of course he will think it will only be good if Haye wins, because it will mean more excitement to the division. If Haye, who is viewed as the only threat to the Klits, is sparked in his first attempt to beat a Klit, it will be less exciting because there will be no hope left for a while (hope to have exciting fights between the best HW out there, since Vitali and Wlad won't fight each other), and nothing will change, the domination of an arguably boring fighter (Wlad) will continue.

I, for one, hope Haye beats Wlad, because I've had enough of this champion much more concerned about protecting his chin then giving a good fight to the fans. Robotic, that's exactly what he is. That guy doesn't fight. He never blocks a punch : he prefers to clinch or move out of the way. Never fights if he's in his opponent's punching range. Yes, boring.

So it will be better for the sport if Haye beats a Klitschko and then retires right away at age 31 like he said he would?

Wlad winning is better for the sport because he has no short term plans of giving up on the sport to become a full fledged ****sexual model like Haye.

You claim Wlad doesn't fight, yet it's Haye who fights 1.5 time per year against the easiest competition available. If he becomes Heavyweight Champ than we can expect to see 8 months between fights that nobody wants to see.

          Nice one.

Wlad's job is to win, idiot. You think Italy gave a **** that they played boring in most of their WCs? Of course not because they won it 4 times. Sports is about winning and being the best, being exciting is just a plus.

            • Here's a quote from the article:

"Haye wants to return in October or November and doesn't see anything out there outside of a Klitschko fight."

WTF? This is why I hate David Haye; why does he have to take 6-7 months between fights? Why does it take this guy so long to set up and train for a fight? There's no good reason why he can't get back into the ring this summer..

Good point. But it is highly unlikely that if Haye ever beats the Klits he will retire. With the kind of money he would be making as the man who beat the Klits, and with the little competition there is out there, I doubt he would go forward with his plan and retire at age 31.

Comment about ****sexuality : sad, the rest of your post is good.

I meant Wlad doesn't fight... in the ring. Yes, Haye is not busy enough.

"Winning isn't everything, it's the only thing." -- Vince Lombardi.

Wlad's stats are going to look very good indeed long after the whiners have accepted the fact of the Klitschko era and faded into oblivion.

Haye's big hurry to retire and yet his avoidance of actually fighting makes no sense to me at all. There's something wrong with that boy....

Being exciting is not just a plus. It puts butts in the seats, and gives happiness and something worth watching to the fans. No wonder Wlad doesn't fight in America anymore. We don't want him to fight here. I know Wlad puts 50K butts in european seats. But the mecca of boxing is America, and euros don't know the sport as well as Americans do. So they're satisfied with their boring ass champion. That's all they have.

Damn the Ali era is long gone. Sad.

                      And I don't give a **** about soccer.

Don't ever forget that there is no professional sports without supporters. Those guys are supposed to fight for the people too. Winning isn't everything. Oscar lost a lot at the end of his career, and people still liked him and watched him because he gave good fights to the fans.
