            I don't think Mayweather was ever afraid to fight Cotto and Margarito. Both of those guys only said anything about fighting him while they were rising through the ranks. And even though Calzaghe's options were limited in the early version of his career, he retired when things got hot. And nothing excuses his woeful opposition. He protected his 0 like the Akita guard dogs protected the Japanese temples.
