im not talking prime Hopkins here.

im talking a 45 year old man tonight who wanted to quit instead of fight because he was too damn tired to fight a shot Roy Jones Jr.

since when did Roy become my favorite fighter?

because he is in my avi?

thats just who i was pulling for today

Hopkins is better than this awful display and you know it street bully...

UFC tends to do a better job delivering their top level fights than boxing does and UFC's ranking structure and title pictures are all far clearer than boxing. Yeah, sure, UFC has had some odd fights before, some nostalgia matches, that sort of thing, but it's hardly fair to say they've got more of that than boxing.

I think it sucks that this fight didn't happpen 5 or 10 years ago when it would of had it's chance to A) be good and B) matter, but boxing has done this type of thing FOREVER. It ain't Golden Boy. (I don't think Golden Boy put Mike Tyson vs. Kevin McBride on PPV, did they?).
UFShe doesn't have a ranking structure. It's whatever fight Dana feels like making. What rank did Couture-Coleman fight for?

This fight would have ****** at any point. Their styles don't mesh, they are both counter punchers that feint and posture who try as much as possible not to get hit.

Hopkins wasn't tired at all, he wasn't breathing heavy, and he threw about three times the shots Jones did. Did was shooken up from the rabbit shot, since he was clutching his head after the fight, and looked like he didn't even give a **** he won. Hopkins has never acted like that from a rabbit shot before, when they are the only shots opponents usually land cleanly on him. You think he needed to buy time when he was winning every round?

I could give you about 100 guys that you wouldn't want to get tired against before Roy, who wasn't even throwing in there. Nothing aims to him being tired, since he threw about the same amount for each round.

Your brain might have gotten soft from all that drinking sober up, and watch the fight again. Hopkins was never tired. He was only tired once in his career, against Calzaghe.

and now Haye vs. Hopkins looming.

yeah way to go Golden Boy

Freak show? Not when you're his age and still winning fights. He's top 5 pound for pound.

You a little nervous Bernard is actually pursuing a fight with Haye? You should be man, lol. Bernard is crafty and that straight right hand will be landing on Haye, you can believe that. The only question is, can Haye take his punch? Can he get his offense going against the great tactician/spoiler? Dun dun duuuuuunnnnnnnnnnn!

Haye could win, but it's not a sure thing. I wouldn't count Bernard out (if the fight gets made).

                      that being said
                      Haye would annihilate Hopkins
