Stop whining, Hopkins is an ATG that wanted this fight. Who is GBP to say no to him. I doubt GBP wanted to put this **** on, HBO wasn't even on-board. They just tried to make the most out of it.

And even if you want to blame GBP for something they didn't even want, Top Rank ppv's are twice as garbage. They didn't have one fight the caliber of Mora-Green or even a contender vs. contender fight like Litzau-Juarez.

I'm not sure how this fight would make boxing more like the UFC.

UFC tends to do a better job delivering their top level fights than boxing does and UFC's ranking structure and title pictures are all far clearer than boxing. Yeah, sure, UFC has had some odd fights before, some nostalgia matches, that sort of thing, but it's hardly fair to say they've got more of that than boxing.


I think it sucks that this fight didn't happpen 5 or 10 years ago when it would of had it's chance to A) be good and B) matter, but boxing has done this type of thing FOREVER. It ain't Golden Boy. (I don't think Golden Boy put Mike Tyson vs. Kevin McBride on PPV, did they?).

Agree that Oscar is ****ing up the game, but Haye will eat Hopkins alive though. I'd like to see that.
