Both guys were fouling each other. These articles make it seem as though Roy was the only one fouling. Further, Hopkins did win but the rounds were not decisive nor exciting. Here is the entire fight for those who have not watched it: Bernard throws wild punches and sends Jones to ropes who covers up. Bernard throws a couple of body punches, ref breaks them up. Then Roy will posture/fake, perhaps throw a jab in a manner that someone who is afraid of being countered would, Bernard throws wild punches, they go to ropes, repeat. Then throw in some fouls from both fighters. No clean punches besides a jab here and there. Both guys had great careers, retire, and let the young guys show what they are made of (e.g., Chad Dawson, Pascal, Chris Henry, Tavoris Cloud, etc.).

But I know what I saw : an easy win for Hopkins, who landed far more punches than Jones. You're probably a big Jones fan, and you just can't take he was beaten by his old rival who is actually 5 years older. Hopkins did not impress, you got that right. Still, he never had a threat in front of him for the whole 12 rounds.

Saying before a fight that Jones would win, that would be an opinion. Saying it was a close fight after what everybody witnessed yesterday, nope, it's not an opinion, it's a total lack of judgment and/or a biased post.
I think Roy was in every round and didn't lose any by a lopsided display. You think otherwise. Both opinions. I think you are missing something here.

While I can agree that punch stats do mean something, they certainly don't tell the whole story. You should know that by now.

The fight left a bad taste in my mouth. Hopkins won the fight on the activity level thats about it and he was fighting real dirty but the media is only saying Jones was being dirty. RJJ could of won the fight if he actually let his hands go. Hopkins definitely wasn't really hurting him too much but RJJ was just too scared to let his hands go. If he would of let his hands go like he did with Lacey he would gave Hopkins something to really act about. No I am not comparing Lacey too Hopkins but Lacey went in on Roy like he wanted to knock him out from the round one. But Roy was able to rather the storm with sharp punches on and outside and used a good inside game. Something we only saw a glimpse of Roy doing in this fight. I guess the Danny Green fight still had Roy shook since he was scared to throw, even when he had plenty chances to do it.
