Yet Hopkins just falls down and act like somebody shot him and the ref feels sorry for him. What about headbutting the piss out of Roy 2-3 times?

The fight was BS. Hopkins is a dirty swindler and looked like complete **** hitting arms and air the whole fight. All Roy had to do was throw more shots and it was his to win. Hopkins wanted to take a breather and landed maybe 3 good shots the whole fight. The rest was crap.

Haye would KO Hopkins if he got the fight. No possible way he wins that fight after the way he looked in this one. No way.

Here is why your post is crap. All that is highlighted is false and inaccurate. Hopkins used some dirty tactics (head, low blows, clinching), but he made it an easy fight nevertheless. Jones could have won if he threw more ? Jones has been gun shy against everybody who had the slightest skills since he's been ko'ed by Tarver. It was clear Hopkins was going to win, and he did.

Hopkins is the biggest ***** in Boxing Today. A disgrace to the sport. He fought dirty as hell the whole fight, Weeks never opened his mouth. Then all his theatrics every-time Jones Retaliated. What a wimp. He did the same thing when he fought Calzage. Fake a low blow injury, and rest. The son-of-a--biotch should be removed from the sport.

Didn't catch the fight but sounds like it was two senior citizens
fighting over the last jello cup at the old folks home. Roy and
Bernard should just hang em up and head to Florida and enjoy
all that $. I think David Haye would annihilate Hopkins.

I love boxing and respect both fighters for what they have accomplished in their careers but enough is enough!! Last night was utterly rediculous! Roy appeared as a mear shell of his former self and Benard lets just say if he retired today from boxing he would be able to win an academy award for acting!! Benards reaction from Roy's rabit punch was beyond acting!! Not to mention that Benard hit Roy with a low blow and when it happened to him (wasnt that bad) you would have thought he was getting castrated. B-Hop clearly won this fight if it can be called that. Very sad fight!!!

To me even if Hopkins one every round he was barely winning them. It was never any real meaningful punches, mostly just dirty boxing and body work in the clinch.

No, what I stated was opinion. Try and get a grip on using the word 'false' and understand that it's just YOUR opinion. The fight was close & Hopkins landed nothing worth a crap and at least Jones was hitting him clean even if it wasn't that often. The scores were pathetic and Jones WAS competitive. I don't care what the cards said. If you just looked at the cards you would have thought the fight was Clottey-Pacquiao, which it clearly was not. Hopkins did not impress, no matter how you spin it.

Agreed, that's exactly what I'm saying. While he may have won more rounds than Roy, it was sheerly from moving his hands because he wasn't landing anything significant and had Jones not been head butted severely bad, he wouldn't have a mark on his face. That running in head first and tying up mess was di****able. Pathetic display IMHO.

Nope. It's not an opinion. It's so far away from what happened that it cannot be an opinion. I don't care about the scorecards neither. But I know what I saw : an easy win for Hopkins, who landed far more punches than Jones. You're probably a big Jones fan, and you just can't take he was beaten by his old rival who is actually 5 years older. Hopkins did not impress, you got that right. Still, he never had a threat in front of him for the whole 12 rounds.

Saying before a fight that Jones would win, that would be an opinion. Saying it was a close fight after what everybody witnessed yesterday, nope, it's not an opinion, it's a total lack of judgment and/or a biased post.

What's funny is even a shot, weight drained Roy Jones with no legs who couldn't pull the trigger was more competitive against Hopkins than Kelly Pavlik.
