it was a terrible fight the best bit was when they went at it after the bell

jones was the most hesitant i've ever seen him he could've actually hit hopkins more often if he was willing to take the risk but he wasn't

hopkins landed more shots but alot of the time he just jumped on roy and pounded his arms and body nothing devastating he didn't hurt roy once with a punch

one of the dirtiest fights ive seen aswell countless low blows, hitting behind the head, headbutts you name it

i've said it before hopkins is terrible to watch and this was one of the worst fights ever it made Calzaghe v Hopkins look like Hagler-Hearns

it was a farce a scam a robbery anyone that paid money for that must feel like they were ****d

      thats true also

all the claims bernard made about finishing him off was bull**** how he gave pavlik that beating i'll never know he looked terrible last night

What the hell does "drove him to the campus" mean? I could've sworn it was called canvas. And this is supposed to be a professional boxing writer?

I'll knew this fight was gona b hyped up over the roof and I knew what both fighters can do and can't do I still need to see the fight but most of the people r bashing this fight alot what did u ecxpect haggler v herns!!!! Roy is 40 and and B-HOP is 45 and these guys can't fight the way they used to anymore and even though B-HOP still looks good against opponents I think it's time for him to hang em up cuz one way or another age finally gets to u and it's inevitable and Roy should have hang em up along ass time ago and I wish both guys should do it..these two guys r ATG and have nothing to prove anymore!!! Roy & Bernard please..please retire..

Hopkins/Haye is probably the only future Hopkins fight I would consider purchasing.

The funny thing is, when Jones was the aggressor in the fight, he did really well. Every time he built up a little steam, however, Hopkins would headbutt or low-blow RJJ outside of the ref's view. When Jones would retaliate, Hopkins would collapse to the canvas (like he did when Calzaghe started whooping him), and they'd reset into the clinch-fest.

As the fight wore on, I actually started to see Jones as the better of the two, but the point deductions and falling behind in the first 4 rounds made it impossible for him to win a decision.

Style wise, Jones matches up well with Hopkins. I'd almost pick him to win if they fought a third time.

EDIT: This coming from a guy who expected B-Hop to maul Jones this time around. At their peak, Jones > Hopkins.

It was, I knew that **** was going to happen, I am glad I just paid 5 dollars to go see it. Barely punching, to much clinching, just straight up boring....

you cant really say that, they are different fighting styles, Pavlik and Jones. I guess pavlik was a lot easier to hopkins than the 40 yr old Jones, also when you are a boxer and you face somebody again that you lost against, it is different. You will have that in the back of the head, you will try not to go thru the same path again....JMO

I like and respect Hopkins, but he needs to stay away from Haye.
