Explain to me what is so great about Dirrell.

Honestly, I look at the guy and I see nothing spectacular. He doesn't interest me in any way as a boxer. The guy is afraid to make contact in a combat sport, he avoids engaging to the point of letting his punches fall short. Then he clinches every second he gets.


Please explain to me the reason for the hype around Dirrell. I honestly can't stand the guy for some reason, he is unappealing but I would like to see why other people like him.

im not big on him TBH, but compared to his fight with Froch, i was impressed with his performance against AA

No one said he was great but he sure in the hell is a ton more talented than Arthur Abraham or Carl Froch. He outboxed them in nearly every round and those two are considered pretty damn good in that division. He can be great, he only has 20 bouts so far.

Who siad he was great?

His style is very hard to beat though.

Fast hands, heck to win a round from him you need to work your ass off and avoid the counters.

Fast feet, very few can keep up with him.

Decent power, and the speed gives him easy rounds.

He is hard to hit, partly because he is athletic, but partly because he holds.

The bad points is his holding and slipping. I don't like that, but not every fighter is perfect.

Looking at his style and athleticity, who can beat him? Only Ward for me.

Nothing special at all and is 0-2 in the tourney so far.

there is nothing great about dirrell. breakdancing in the ring doesnt win you fights. he's got talent but thats it.
