I agree. This would have been a good HBO fight. But PPV? Forget it.

Actually Hopkins decides whether Roy Jones lives or dies, he knows Jones is a completely shot fighter hopefully he will throw a lot of body shots because Roy Jones may just be a couple of shots to the head away from being brain dead or just dead. Shame on Golden Boy for putting this garbage PPV together

I think Hopkins really wants to get Jones all wound up so he can try to take advantage of uncharacteristic aggression from RJJ. He has been very serious and subtle with all of his comments and almost dismissive. It will be interesting to see what happens in that first round.

You`re talking no sense, Jones hasn`t been avoiding Hopkins, Hopkins has been a middleweight for many years and Jones has been a light-heavy. I don`t recall even a single time that Hopkins ever tried to make a bout with Jones, They each had their own challenges and business to attend to. Just because Hopkins speaks a bunch of lies, now, to promote the fight, is no reason for anyone with sense to believe him. Apart from anything else, Hopkins is as big a liar and bombast as one could find anywhere, whereas Jones has always, as far as can be seen, stuck to the truth, however outrageous it may have seemed to ordinary guys. Jones was DIFFERENT, the best fighter of his generation, by far superior to the grunting, scrabbling, butting, fouling, faking Hopkins, one of the worst box office draws in fight history.

roy jones jr and his team is are being walked into a trap by bernard hopkins agin b hop is a master at mind games for roy jones jr to come out early and waste his bulletts will only make this so easy for bernard hopkins so i think hopkins will carry roy jones jr for a few rounds by beating his thighs in close during clinches and destroy roy jones jr by brutal knockout in the later rounds

hopkins needs to play it safe cuz im pretty sure roy still has enough power and cleverness to knock him out

Dont worry about the 60-40 and send roy off to retirement with a convincing win on the scorecards

Roy most defiantly has Hop beaten in the mind games. As much as Jones looked to be "RJ", I know its all to sell the fight! Both Hop and Jones are attempting to sell the fight. I'm pulling for Jones but Hop has every advantage and should win this based on current events.

But I got Jones by 12 round split decision due to being more active.

That is the only win that Hopkins can get as far as I'm concerned! The only coward that I see is Hopkins!!
The dude (Hopkins) used mind games against Trinidad in the past; saying that he would knock out Trinidad because he was too small; but when the fight started, he boxed and frustrated Trinidad and that is the only way he got the knockout. If he thought he was good or the best in his division he would be calling for Chad Dawson but he wants none of the biz!
Bernard stick to fighting smaller fighters i.e. Trinidad, Delahoya, etc or past prime fighters like Jones, Tarver, or punchers and you will be okay. Until you step in the ring with good young boxers you are doing fine!!
