i guess kelly pavlik from that list. u could say jermain taylor but jermain was never hyped as a great fighter, he was called a fighter with great potential. even through his reign as champion ppl were saying he could grow into a great fighter one day but he wasnt there yet.

thats true, his potential was never overrated he just failed to live up to it. pavlik on the other hand was legitimately overrated, simply not being what he was hyped up to be.

its funny u make a thread like this and include all these fighters who arent least bit overrated, even some who are underrated. but u exclude one of the most overrated fighters of all times in jeff lacy. hes the most overrated fighter bar none in the last 20 years. zab judah is the same situation as taylor, never lived up to his potential. lacy was just an average fighter with average talent who got hyped up to be a monster.

Wasn't in the poll but I would've voted Lacy.

Pavlik, until he was exposed by Hopkins.
Floyd gets the vote though (since it covers a decade), only because he keeps on patting himself on the back too many times, that even boxing fans are turned off.

I liked him & he had potential.he had fast hands & good power but a suspect chin.he could pack an arena with 15000.he retired undefeated but how good could he be? Very hyped but injuries ended his career...joe mesi

Jeff Lacy was never really overrated. He was obviously over hyped. Going into the Calzaghe fight no one really thought that his skill set was amazing. He was a stocky power puncher that people wanted to become the next Tyson. He failed miserably. Calzaghe smacked him, and then he lost one sided decision to Taylor and Jones Jr who both happen to be on the list for most overrated. Lacy had a padded record when he faced Calzaghe and the talent difference was overwhelming.
