Har har, Tuns. When's the last time I even genuinely complimented the guy? I'm all rooting for him to win (for a few reasons; Ruiz sucks, Haye's usually cool to watch, and Britain's doing good right now), but I know he'll get brutalised by the brothers if they ever meet in the ring.

And rightly so, because he was an ass last year.

I still give credit where it's due, and hope that he sticks around to make some exciting fights (discounting Valuev, in which the circumstances would've been exceptional for anyone).
Apologies if I took it the wrong way. I've been called some pretty interesting names by Haye fans for merely happening to disagree with them, despite being not in the least bit hostile in doing so, and I've generally found that people who invent such silly name-calls tend to be of a juvenile and fannish disposition. So you can at least see my point of view here.

I actually gave Haye a little credit for beating Valuev where others were in the full flow of kecks down, bums in the air, full-on faecal spraying. His timing of shots and his boxing (when he elected to use it) were better than I expected of him, as his rocking of Valuev in the 12th definitely upped my estimation of his punching power a few notches. And I'll certainly give him credit if he dispatches of Ruiz in relatively easy fashion. But I'll also criticise him if he struggles or looks bad, as is my right, given the mantle that he and his fans have put upon his shoulders.

Cherry pickin HW is not going to do anything for his resume. Roy Jones beat Ruiz years ago and got the HW belt. Jones was the same way, he went into the HW division because he knew that Ruiz was one of the less skilled HW and he had a belt. Until he fights someone like Peter, Adamek or the Klitshcko's Haye has not accomplished much at HW division.

If haters are going into this with the fixed mindset of dismissing anything he does to Ruiz en route to a potential victory, I want to hear it now rather than later when they've conveniently changed their minds.
Seriously if David Haye wasn't a loud mouth the heavyweight division would be to dull. Moving up in weight and fighting the Klitchkos with no catch weight clause is rediculous, if I were Haye I would impose a random drug test on them two monsters, but of course there will be a huge backlash on Haye for either request

Umm, that might not be in Haye's best interest you know...

              Exactly.

Haye will get the KO, pretty sure of that. But not sure how meaningful it will be given Ruiz is definitely not a top ten contender.

So anyway, let's go through the options. If Haye does any of the following...

                - Trounces Ruiz to a dominant UD, Jones-style
                - Stops Ruiz very early, Tua-style
                - Trounces Ruiz, then stops him in the middle rounds
                - Trounces Ruiz, then stops him late, Wlad-style

... will you give him credit?

OK, let's make it more interesting and specific, just to prevent blatant contradictions or twisting things to fit agendas - yes Tunney, that's you in a nut(hugging)shell. If any of these scenarios occur...

                - Haye really struggles for 4 rounds, then brutally stops Ruiz
                - Haye really struggles for 8 rounds, then brutally stops Ruiz
                - Haye really struggles for 12 rounds, then brutally stops Ruiz

                - Haye is in control but gunshy for 4 rounds, then brutally stops Ruiz
                - Haye is in control but gunshy for 8 rounds, then brutally stops Ruiz
                - Haye is in control but gunshy for 12 rounds, then brutally stops Ruiz

                - Haye dominates to a UD or stoppage, but suffers a single knockdown along the way
                - Haye dominates to a UD or stoppage, but suffers multiple knockdowns along the way
                - Haye struggles to a UD or stoppage, and suffers a single knockdown along the way
                - Haye struggles to a UD or stoppage, and suffers multiple knockdowns along the way
                - Haye and Ruiz engage in the ultimate HW war, Ibeabuchi-Tua style, with both suffering a knockdown(s), with Haye getting the brutal stoppage

... will you give Haye credit?
I will give Haye credit if he can do this:

Come on man, that's unrealistic. Tua was (is) one of the hardest heavyweight punchers ever, and happened to catch Ruiz cold. If Haye can dispatch of Ruiz before the seventh or eighth I think that's a reasonable result for him.

they hate because they see haye as a threat in the HW divison and also because of all hayes antics at the klitshckos with the shirt with the severed heads etc..
