LAURENCE COLE is the worst ref I have ever seen on...

    the professional level.

I've never seen a more inept, confused, piss poor ref in my life. The job (or lack thereof) he did in the Abraham-Dirrel bout should have resulted in his immediate termination.

He has far more blunders then just that fight. The guy is just miserable most nights. I agree, i cannot see why this guy continues to get work

Man, I was cringing at some of the ****** **** he did that night.

*Did not rule a knockdown on Direll when it was a clear one.
*Kept calling Andre Anthony (his brother's name).
*Let the ring side docs work on Abraham's cut
*Stopped Abraham's assault on Direll at one point because his glove was in his face

And yes, as others have pointed out before, this ref has other blunders in the ring as well. Terrible ref.

He keeps getting work because his daddy got him the hook-up. It's the same way in Hollywood how people who are related get into acting. Its terrible that society works this way, but what the hell. Most of us get hooked up with jobs through connections.

Haha. I just remembered he was the ref in the Pac-Barerra I fight. He ruled the Pacquiao slip a "KD" and a Barerra "KD" a slip.

I think during that time, it was something to do with Barerra being the marquee fighter and gets high treatment from refs. He also failed to realise when to stop the fight when MAB really had no answers from Pac's assaults. He just waited for the corner to step in and cry.

he actually did a fairly decent job that night, did things by the book.

the only questionable decision was the abraham knockdown, however their feet were indeed tangled so it's one of those quick judgment calls that could go either way.

He might just be, but I know some people will say Richard Steele. Back in the late 80's and early 90's there was alot of talk about him being the worst and that he was in Don King's pocket.
