After Cotto fought Margo and lost, Paul Williams put out offers to both Margo and Cotto, again Cotto ignored the challenge and went after another fighter.

No he didn't if you knew what you were talking about.

Cotto was never supposed to fight the winner of Margarito/Williams. He was supposed to fight Margarito, but then Margarito decided to fight Williams so he wouldn't get stripped.

After Margarito lost which he wasn't supposed to, Cotto fought Mosley.

You gonna say Cotto ducked Williams for Mosley? That's what I thought.

If you were a fan of boxing you might actually have a clue as to events that lead to Williams and Cotto not fighting. As things stand you are providing zero insight and just doing the same exact thing you are accusing others of doing without reading.

For idiots saying he ducked PW. How the **** can you say he ducked paul when he was busy fighting top fighters it's not like he was fighting scrubs. if he was fighting cans then you could say he ran away from paul. And let's get this straight paul is still unknown to this day to casual fans and was a nobody when cotto was still kicking ass. So shut it.

Anytime you let a top fighter who is ranked higher than you are outgrow the division and fight for his title in a vacant fashion that means you ducked him. Paul Williams could be a million feet tall and it wouldn't change the fact that he had Cotto shook.

So Cotto should have fought Williams right after he got destroyed by Margarito.

              Right....

He refused to fight Paul Williams at welterweight and ducked Mayweather at 140.

Paul Williams is ducking his true weight class.. homeboy is 6'2-6'4 and starving himself to fight guys 5'7 with arms half the length of his.

Be real.. that's a punk move. Williams reach is longer than Lennox Lewis..

Williams needs to stop ducking anybody at 160lbs.. Martinez smacked his ass round last fight.

He definitely had the opportunity to fight Williams but I don't feel that he ducked him. The money just wasn't right. Cotto has proven that he's not afraid of fighting anybody.
