yeah right and pacquiao's punch shouldnt have knocked out hatton cause it was on the chin instead of the temple or the back of the head right? A punch to the jaw is as devastating. it looked like a pretty brutal punch to me, especially with dirrell down and not protecting himself with his chin wide open.
just rewatched the 11th round....

Dirrell was staggered in the 10th and was running in the 11th. Of course he didn't know what was gonna happen but when it did, he sure took advantage. He wasn't gonna let abraham take his hometown victory away with a legal ko. Beautiful performance from dirrell. He put on a clinic. Its jus too bad he's a ***** with no heart or courage. Whenever he's faced with adversity he loses his composure and gets on his bikeComment

Arthur Abraham prior to Saturday night:
12 round fights = 17
Of which 5 went the distance
Of his 12 knockout victories 4 came in the 11th round or later
We should all be able to agree that Dirrell gave Abraham a tougher time than any of his previous opponents and in Dirrell Abraham was presented with his most skilled advesary to date.
Based on the above it seems like a huge leap in logic to say that Abraham was likely going to knock out Dirrell in the 11th or last round.
As has been stated multiple times by multiple posters, Abraham did not land a single meaningful punch in the 11th.
Could he have knocked Dirrell out? Of course. Would he have? We’ll never know. But there’s no basis in reality to say he would have.
The most likely scenario is Dirrell continuing to frustrate Abraham and securing the unanimous, clear-cut and uncontroversial decision.Comment

You gotta be baiting somebody on here because seriously , nobody can possibly be ****** enough to actually mean what you just said.Nikkuh please... AA's legs were too far apart when he threw that punch so there is physically no way the punch was hard enough to have that kind of effect since he had literally no leverage on it, it was a swing more than a punch, plus he glazed him, not really connected cleanly, also it was on the chin, not on the temple or back of the head in order to cause a concussion or a punch that would of otherwise cause Dirrell to be disoriented as he was clearly acting out. Listen fools, I ain't condoning AA's action, it was ****ed up, and the DQ was the right call but Dirrell sold that **** big time, and he bitched out of a clear victory.

Obviously you have never been hit with a punch you didn't see while NOT on your feet and understand the difference between being hit with one you did see while being ON your feet.I have to disagree with you reed
He got hit flush just minutes earlier and it had literally no effect
the punch that knocked him down was harder and it appeared that Dirrell slipped then the punch that AA landed while D was down wasnt flush
you mean to tell me that AA punches are harder when they arent flush?
Dirrell deserves an Oscar
Don't comment on things you obviously know nothing about please.Comment
