just rewatched the 11th round....

The punch after the slip was not flush or particularly hard. I dont get all this garbage, anyone would have thought he got hit with a full on haymaker or something. It all happened very quickly. Whether he was acting or not,or whether AA would have kayoed him in the 12th is all pure speculation.
Too much overreaction about this from both sides of the debate in this forum. The truth is that Dirrell boxed superbly and set an incredible pace for 9 rounds and unsurprisingly started to tire in the tenth. He may well have been looking forward to the end of the fight and was looking for a way out,but I would have to give him the benefit of the doubt as fighting in his hometown seemed to mean a lot too him and I dont think he would have wanted to go out like that.
His reactions after the ko and in the immediate aftermath of the fight did seem a little bizarre,so I can see why some would believe he was faking it. I really dont know about that, but Andre does strike me as being a rather emotional character and a mixture of contradictions. He can box absolutely beautifully, but also seems fragile mentally and falls over a lot.Comment

Green k for this as it pretty much sums up how I feel about this forum. It takes a huge amount of courage to step into the ring in the first place, and thats the first thing my coach in the army taught me and I believe that 100%.
Courage, guts, heart etc. of boxers really shouldnt be called into question. What hardly anyone in this forum seems to recognise is that its a boxers personality that is more relevant to his conduct. Fighters are human beings just like the rest of us,and have their faults and their good points like the rest of us.Comment

I agree whether he was acting or not is irrelevant it was a cheap shot from a guy who was desperate and frustrated. It just kills me that these guys want to take away from what was a dominating win and this is all not because of Dirrell's behavior but AA's unsportsmanlike cheap shot. Honestly at first I wanted to say people should lay off of him but after his and his camps comments and actions he deserves to get chewed out. He needs to own up to his **** and be a man and a dignified athlete and yall wanna defend this guy and say that dirrell most likely would have lost if not for the DQ thats just low man.The punch after the slip was not flush or particularly hard. Yea it was more of a grazing punch. And dirrell absolutely faked the twitching in the floor and stuff. I mean he got hit and started convulsing on the floor and then a couple of minutes later got up started hollering and crying and didn't look like he just got KTFO. The way he reacted after getting it would have looked like he had a serious concussion but he showed no signs of it at all just minutes later. The punch after the slip was not flush or particularly hard. I never said he would most likely have lost. He had half the round left and didnt look on the verge of a KO. I believe he would have lasted the round and then got on his bike in the 12th. AA was coming into the fight, and the last round and a half would have been interesting, but to suggest anything else is just pure speculation.I agree whether he was acting or not is irrelevant it was a cheap shot from a guy who was desperate and frustrated. I wasn't talking about you with that final comment. I was talking about the band of guys on here talking about dirrell escaping the fight with AA's cheap shot.I never said he would most likely have lost. To say the tide was turning is a lie actually. Abraham was cut and mostly swinging at air. This fantisized version of the fight that you and some others put out there, as if Dirrell was seriously in trouble before the foul, is comedy really.Comment
