then why did he get DQued obviously it was against the rules but forget it im talking to brick wall hereDirell got jabbed, somehow went down, and then Abe was in the process of throwing a punch before the ref even could say anything. It is not his job to check if Dirells glove touched the canvas, its the refs job to make sure he gives warning the second it happens, and not yell stop when you are in the process of throwing.Comment

Did you see it in slow motion. I mean 2 seconds? Why was he chillin for a couple seconds? That makes no sense. If there were was that long of a time. Instead of chillin, he shold of been protecting himself. And, if there were was that much time where was the ref? Why didn't he stop the action? After seeing the video it's impossible to agree with you.
He was chilling for a good couple of seconds before AA hit him. I will agree with you that it isn't his job to 'ref' the fight himself, but a boxer should be aware of the circumstances in a fight.
Some just get carried away.
Haters/Nuthuggers (not saying you're either - jus sayin' ) can say all they want but at the end of the day AA has a big 1 in his loss column.
But, you right he has a lost.Comment

What you are saying is that barrera was right when he punched marquez because the ref didn't stopped him? wtfComment

He could've protected his face w/ his glove or he should've wrapped AA around the waist till he could get up.stop keep blaming Dirrell. How can you say he failed to protect himself? You cant always protect yourself. The ref says that but he's talking about in the fight. This dude was down on the ground and off balance at the time. No one is protecting themselves in that spot. Im not saying AA was defintely wrong but dont say that Dirrell didnt protect himself
Not hang his chin up to dry.Comment

and its the ref's job to enforce the rules,no excuses from a bunch of posters on a forum can change that.
unless we are gonna petition to change the rules to mma style.Comment

This is correct.Direll got jabbed, somehow went down, and then Abe was in the process of throwing a punch before the ref even could say anything. It is not his job to check if Dirells glove touched the canvas, its the refs job to make sure he gives warning the second it happens, and not yell stop when you are in the process of throwing.Comment
