Abraham did what a fighter was supposed to do.

Direll got jabbed, somehow went down, and then Abe was in the process of throwing a punch before the ref even could say anything. It is not his job to check if Dirells glove touched the canvas, its the refs job to make sure he gives warning the second it happens, and not yell stop when you are in the process of throwing.

It's the ref's job to stop the fighter from attacking when he sees a slip/knockdown. He didn't call it on the first one and was too busy waiting on Dirrell to get up on the 2nd one. No wonder AA thought the same.

the kids on this site are expecting rationality in an irrational sport.

That was a fast action sequence where Dirrell ended up in a bad spot and failed to protect himself.

AA's job is to finish him.

      Not spare him.

After seeing the video it's impossible to agree with you.

He was chilling for a good couple of seconds before AA hit him. I will agree with you that it isn't his job to 'ref' the fight himself, but a boxer should be aware of the circumstances in a fight.

          Some just get carried away.

Haters/Nuthuggers (not saying you're either - jus sayin' ) can say all they want but at the end of the day AA has a big 1 in his loss column.

Stop defending this overrated coward. He thought about hitting for a second. He didn't have any regard for a defenseless man,

The man is a disgrace, couldn't handle the fact the King was dethroned and now is a princess

Exactly right, AA did what a fighter is suppose to do. It is the ref job to stop the action. It is not AA job.

Who ever fault was, intentionally or not, it has to be a disqualification anyways, always.

there was no motion to get up

there was a delay and he thought about it.

you could tell he noticed the same in the replay

stop keep blaming Dirrell. How can you say he failed to protect himself? You cant always protect yourself. The ref says that but he's talking about in the fight. This dude was down on the ground and off balance at the time. No one is protecting themselves in that spot. Im not saying AA was defintely wrong but dont say that Dirrell didnt protect himself
