Glad to see he is taking him seriously.

Ruiz is the mandatory contender in Haye's first defence. The Klit's are busy, might as well take the pay day. Who else would he be fighting right now?Comment

I think what everybody is over looking is the fact that while the HW division is in the dismal state that it is in; John Ruiz is still a top fighter in that division. It doesn't really matter how boring his style is he always seems to be in contention for a title if he is not holding a title. That has to say something in regards to how he is being ranked by the santioning bodies and how highly regarded he is dispite not being a "crowd pleasing" fighter.
John's style is very difficult to look good against, he often operates off of a smash and grab technique, which at times can leave the average Boxing fan wanting more of an exchange between him and his opponent.
I like the fact that David is not taking John lightly as he shouldn't, you dont get to be in contention for a professional title and be a "bum" regardless if the style pleases the fans or not. I honestly think that David is going to be way to fluid for John, and is just plannning for a long night knowing in the back of his head that if he executes his gameplan as he has trained to do, then he will run through John with more ease than he is anticipating.Comment

This is an easy question to answer. Haye should have already been fighting the Klit brothers. But, instead he decided to take the easier path.Comment

Ruiz is not ranked by Ring magazine. Which in my opinion has its own flaws in the rankings but is by far the most legit and he is ranked 25th on Boxrec. And for what ever reason Ruiz has always been a WBA favorite and for years and has done little to deserve his high rankings. And this is not only my opinion but his dismal record against world class fighters, even over the hill middleweights, proves that he is not nor was he ever really that good of a fighter.I think what everybody is over looking is the fact that while the HW division is in the dismal state that it is in; John Ruiz is still a top fighter in that division. Wait, let me get this straight. Ruiz punches harder than Valuev, is more awkward than Valuev, and fought Valuev better than Haye did, but we're expected to believe Haye is ready to actually stand and fight him.
Don't make me laugh.Comment

This "bum" has a better record BY FAR than Haye and has beaten more world champions. Believe me, and you won't be back to apologize after, Haye ain't sparking anything.Comment
