Still here mate. When Haye walks the walk you can start bragging because I still think his dark skin tone hides the yellow streak running down his back.

There have obviously been difficulties wrt the breakdown of the fight with the K brothers and considering how long it takes to arrange fights of this magnitude it's probably not suprising he's not been particularly active.
I suppose the other thing is that david moved up from Cruiser to fight the best, from his point of view he probably thinks there no point arranging fights with bums, because it's common knowledge that the Heavyweight division is a joke. Even Hopkins thinks he can win at this level!
He is not fighting bums? He is fighting John Ruiz the man who lost to a former middleweight not once but twice and he is fighting the best of the big boys????

I'm surprised to see Haye is not talking about a ko here. That's the main thing we were hearing of him, right, to be the first ko'ing Ruiz since Tua ??? And here he is talking about having to go the distance ??? I still expect Haye to ko Ruiz, and it should be a good fight since Ruiz new trainer doesn't let him hold and use his old boring tactics.

To the people criticizing Ruiz as an opponent : the dude has fought everybody, and he's still a good opponent even at his age, and he does have some new tricks up his sleeve.

Ruiz now is better than ever, much less clinches but still boring. Haye willl outpoint him.

What kind of abuse is he talking about? He means taking it rough?

With all due respect I find it rather amusing that not all that long ago many believed that Ruiz and Valuev were bums. But now that Haye is fighting them they have some how become legit top heavyweights in the eyes of Haye fans. And if you were to look at it realistically you would notice that Ruiz has a boat load of dubious loses and his best win happened to be against a 40 year Holyfield.

Ruiz is today's Georges Chuvalo (in terms of being a lesser opponent who fights everybody, not in terms of style).
