Hopkins has lost to most of the best fighters he has ever faced

Hopkins has faced and beat many good and great fighters, more then alomst anyone today. Despite his age, he has beat great fighters even after age 40, when most fighters are totaly shot. Even in his losses his fights has been so close, never really beat up, and you could make a case for him to have won his fights he has lost (calzaghe, Taylor etc.)
Trinidad didnt look blown up to me when he crushed Joppy worsed then anyone had done or still have done today. Wright looked great in his fights before he faced Hopkins, throwing over 1000 punches before he faced Hopkins, and was ranked high pound for pound. Oscar may not have belong in the middleweight but, still a good win at age 39
When you lost to most of the best fighters you have ever faced then it does become a issue, especially with people here claiming he is ATG 50, I would place McCallum above Hopkins any dayComment

Another way of looking at it is Bernard Hopkins hasn't lost decisively since 1993.
Think about that for a second.
Since 1993 he never got beat down, never took a beating in his career, never even been cut in a fight.
For a man that's been a pro for 22 years, that is absolutely phenomenal.
Name me a fighter who boxed as a pro for 22 years that can say the same.Comment

Winky was a LMW, Hop fought him at 170.
Pavlik was a MW, Hop fought him at 170.
Hop is the most overrated piece of **** in the sport. Fight Dawson or get the **** out of this sport.Comment

Although I had Taylor clearly winning his first fight with BhopComment

LOL MOST overrated..doubtfull....and well ur right tho he did fight those guys at those weight but guess what ....they signed the contract made the right weight and fought so they were no longer considered WW, LMW, or MWComment

i'm not gon argue the fights again its been over and over...i had Hop winnen the first one tho basicly due to the fact he was the champ and to b the champ u gotta beat the champ..dont feel Taylor clearly did that...however based on that thinking i have to admit that Taylor was the winner of the second fight due to the fact they did give him the first one..and Hop did not do enough that fight both tho i feel were close..but in the end its Taylor the victorComment

Trinidad was a 160 pound CHAMPION when Bernard Hopkins fought him. So nice try. And let's not forget his reign at 154.
You act as if Trinidad never grew into his body. If it weren't for hopkins, trinidad would have been the unified MW champ of the world.
Pavlik was a MW, Hop fought him at 170.
Weight wasn't an issue as they are basically the exact same size (like twins). Hopkins style beat pavlik, not weight.
Jack Loew: “Kelly can get down to 163 with no problem, but the last three pounds are murder. We’re all but chopping off body parts."
Kelly Pavlik: “It’s hard for me to make 160,” he acknowledged. “With the added weight, I was able to train harder and refuel my body. My energy level is sky high. I won’t be drained. There willl be more snap on my punches because I’ll have fresh legs. I love it.”
