First of all Taylor was one of the worst titlist he ever faced, and most of us think Hopkins beat Taylor. Calzaghe was also a controversial fight that many of us including ALL ringside scores had Hopkins winning. Hopkins has only lost clearly once to Roy Jones, and even that was a pretty close fight.
The worst titlist, but he beat Hopkins twice, what does that say about Hopkins? I had Hopkins losing both fights, he did nothing in the first 8 rounds of both fights. Didnt he listen to the commentary from Lampley, Lederman, Jones and Merchant after the first fight?
And a fighters weight most definitely makes a difference.
So if Israel Vazquez moves up to fight Pavlik.. hey he's a fighter right?
Even playing ground.
and seriously tho are u a fighter? jus wondering cause if u are u should know that a couple weight classes makes no difference other than if ur big and can lose lots of water the days b4 the fight u can go in2 the fight as the bigger man 20lbs heavier it happens for sure...couple classes make no difference now if u gain nothen but fat and look like Butterbean then i'd agree and say no way but if u move up and get the muscle u need and are the right height etc...makes no diff

but man a fighter is a fighter basicly no matter what his weight is i mean most of these guys walk around at way higher weights its spar at these weights etc
If this was really the case why didnt Hopkins move up when the fights with Toney, Jones and Calzaghe were originally offered to him?
He was working with one of the best sports trainers in America with Mackie Shielstone.

despite me being a hopkins fan i doubt Roy is taking Steroids....
