What?? The last time i saw hopkins interviewed about dawson he said he wanted him and the time before that too, if he doesnt want the fight at all then why is he changing his mind all the time, if you dont want the fight then dont say you do and then change your mind......

Hopkins was never going to fight Dawson or any other "live" opponent for that matter. After he beats a shot Roy he will fight a SMW then he will retire.

Bhop is no fool - he wants no part of Chad, despite the 'logic' he voiced in this article. Chad is too young, full of energy, only gotten better, has a reach advantage and a work rate, unlike Pavlik, that would kill Bhop.

what a surprise, hopkins sounds like floyd, trying to find any reason not to fight the guy and discrediting his wins

Bhop is a very smart guy,hes out to make money and hes not going to get into the ring with someone his own size as good as dawson, thats quite clear

think people are finally waking up to the bhop bullshit?

if you're looking for notable wins for Dawson how about the fact that he outboxed and totally dominated Adamek who is now fighting heavyweights and hasn't lost since Chad beat him

bhop don't want none of Dawson even if the money was there

Fighting Haye's a win win for Hopkins. If he won, he makes history, if he losses, he's a 100 year old middleweight beaten by a young natural Heavyweight.

A loss to Dawson would be harder to brush off and Hopkins knows it. If Hopkins thought he could beat Dawson, he would've fought him already.

Bhop is saying what all other name fighters do in this sport!
cherry picking is the name of the game. pick the guy with the most recognizable name whom you believe u can beat then build him up as a beast then undress him in the ring.

What I have been thinking though is why is B-Hop vs. Roy in Vegas? Both are east coast based fighters who never drew the biggest crowds. This fight would have been better to have in Atlantic City or maybe even Miami. Putting this fight in vegas is dumb and add on to it that nobody really wants to see it. Fight would have done better numbers attendance wise if it was on the east coast.
never drew the biggest crowds? roy filled 12,000 seats fighting a tomato can

I remember when he said he was planning on fighting the winner of Dawson-Johnson II. Oh, well....
