Hopkins should learn from his friend Shane Mosley.

He should also learn from his publicist that it's not correct to go from the first person, to the third person, and back to the first person, all in a matter of three sentences. He thinks he's smart and proving a point, to me it means that he's just not intelligent.

Hopkins isn't going for light heavyweight titles anymore. been there done that. he makes a lot of money of Jones, about three times what he would have made against Dawson. he then can fight green in a fight where he would make twice what he would earn against Dawson, or fight Haye in a fight where he would make twice or three times what he would make to fight Dawson. The man is 45 has secured his legacy and is an ATG, he wants to pad his pockets now.

I like Hopkins but I find it comical that he trashed Dawson for not being able to sell out arenas including in Connecticut, when Hopkins last fight was a less than full arena in yes, his hometown of Philly.

Yeah, Bernard is a walking talking contradiction of himself. Perfect example when he said "Why do ya'll want me to continue to destroy the future of boxing?" He's good enough to be the future of boxing, but not good enough for you to fight? Dawson doesn't make sense financially for him to fight but yet he might want to promote him someday (and doesn't want to ruin him HAHAHA)?
I know greed is taking over the sport, but in the end, isn't it the FANS that pay their bills? I'm not even saying I would want to see them fight (personally I think it would be a snoooooze fest) but it is this way of thinking that will eventually lead to the death of boxing, at least for any casual fan who just wants to see good fights and could care less how much money you made to do it. It's the good fights that turn a casual fan into an avid fan etc. etc.
