No. He doesn't have the speed or power to make that height too dangerous for Pacquiao, and is incredibly easy to hit for a guy like Pac as well.

He's def bigger but seen how Pac handled Clottey is should be no trouble. Marg is relatively slow and got no defence. Pac's relentless combinations will prob cause Marg to be Ko'd late in that fight due to his poor defence, which is the reason Clottey survived 12 rounds.

it never seems to amaze me how little ppl know about boxing on this forum..

styles make fights, u cant overpower or outfight pac... u have to outbox him. why do ppl keep saying "ohh hatton is a natural 140lber, cotto is too big, clottey is huge, margarito..." bla bla etc

strenght does not beat pacquiao. no one dimensional slugger is gonna give him problems. skills, speed and boxing IQ beats pac. that doesnt exactly translate into antonio margarito does it?

yeah but unlike clottey......marg is willing to eat 5 to land 1.

a guy who outweighs you by 20 lbs. can wear you down.

even if marg is just hitting manny's shoulders or arms or the top of his head......it'll wear pacquiao down.

marg is durable unlike cotto and has balls unlike clottey.

unless marg is shot , pacquiao will have a tough time.

Uh **** no. I used to think that until Mosley dismantled him, now I know Pac would be hitting him with every freaking punch in the book. It would take Pac all of about 10 rounds to KTFO Margacheato.

I think Pacquiao would need 5 rounds to beat Margarito, the reason being he has a problem with southpaws and it is not secret that Marg has issues making making weight these days so he'd be way to slow to competes.

Agreed, this is def something Pac should worry about. Still, Pac got a good chin and his movement in and out hit&run style is some of the best in the game right now. Pac got no stamnia issues he showed that against Clottey he can keep that pace for 12 rounds.

When I go through this fight in my head I see Marg having the punchers chance, no doubt, but any other than that it'll be Pacs fight.

I think Pac has proven at this point that moving right at him throwing punches does nothing more than get that fighter KTFO. Other than height, Margarito brings nothing to the table capable of beating Pacquiao. He doesn't have very good defense, he doesn't have much footspeed or handspeed, he doesn't have a ton of power, and who knows how his chin is after what happened with Mosley. The fight would be competitive for maybe half the fight like the Cotto fight was and then Margarito would not be able to handle the speed, punching, and movement.
