for most welterweights the best gameplan is to try to outmuscle and overpower pacquiao. fact.

pacquiao is too fast for most of these guys. even mosley would do best to just muscle pac rather than box him.

pac is a hard enough hitter to stop anyone from just marching straight in, including margarito. margarito wont be able to overwhelm him cuz he wont be able to find him and put enough hands on him to break him down. hes too slow, he beat cotto cuz cotto never fought going backwards before and got tired. also cotto didnt go to the body, pac wouldnt make that mistake. margarito can take it great on the chin but his body is alot softer.

nobody who tries to overpower pac will stand a chance, margarito, valero whoever.. im not saying they would win but floyd, berto, bradley, alexander, campbell etc would all give him a challenge. why? cuz pac doesnt like to go after his oponents.. when ppl stand in front of him he can let his hands go and beat them silly. lateral movement wont allow him to get of in numbers though.

when i look at pac is see a strong WW, not someone u can push around. i do see a short WW though, which will allow ppl to keep him of with the jab. thats the way to beat speed, the jab. pac will get frustrated and overcommit to his punches leaving openings for counters. his boxing IQ is still low, smart fighters can set traps for him and be one step ahead all night.

u keep saying marquez is smaller like that makes it easier for him to outbox pac. marquez wasnt as fast as pac, but he was smarter and more skilled. thats what u need to beat him. no matter which size u are. these WWs have a better chance than marquez bcuz of their height if u ask me, the ones who use it to their advantage that is (not margarito).
