Oscar: lost to Sturm and Hopkins i.e poor MW
    Tarver: solid win
Wright: moved uo two divisions, career jmw
Pavlik: moved up two divisions, has done nothing at lhw
    David Haye: wont happen
Jones: you know Hopkins lost that fight, right?

This according to you is a great resume?
The best guys hopkins has fought are: Calzaghe, Tarver, Jones, Taylor and he is 1-4 in those fights, what does that tell you?

If your going to nitpick like that then you could do that about many fighters of the past who are considered top 20 of all time. You can make a argument Marvin Hagler's best wins came against fighters moving up in weight in Duran and Hearns and he lost to a former Welterweight in Ray Leonard.

You can make a argument Ray Leonard's win vs Duran was to controversial to get much credit. It wasn't like he was dominating and the Hearns fight you can say well Hearns came in at 144 pounds and lost because of conditioning and coming in underweight. Had they fought at 154. The win over Hagler you could say he waited until Hagler got old and slowed down before deciding to fight him.

      If it's ****, **** off

Not that surprising to be that Hop is rated higher than Hagler by some. Why can't you just accept someone's opinion? If you watch some of Hagler's best wins (v Minter, v Hearns) and then watch Hop's (v Trinidad, v Pavlik) what do you think? That Hopkins is nowhere near the same league as Hagler? If so you are deluded. Both are extremely skilled, ATG fighters. Both ran their division in their respective eras. You act like Hagler's above reproach. Hagler struggled with Duran, a blown up lightweight who was on the decline

      • No way does Sugar Ray Leonard get away with a 5 year layoff had he faced Hopkins even B-Hop in his 40's. Ray would pay for that layoff.

I agree with this guy. Bhop beating Haye? Yeah top 25 for sure. I doubt Bhop will fight him though.

                • If Hop were to do that he'd have avenged his Jones Jr loss, meaning only 3 fighters have beat him in a career spanning 22 years (one of which was his pro debut at lt-heavyweight)

the other defeats were questionable (to Taylor and Joe C) and came when he was 40 and 43, respectively. An age when most fighters are either retired or losing to younger fighters constantly

He'd have been middleweight champion, 20 title defences, good wins over Tito, Hopkins, Joppy etc.

He beat Winky, Pavlik and Tarver handily well into his 40s

He'd have been Ring mag middleweight champ, lt-heavyweight champ and WBA heavyweight champion. Top 20? Yeah, possibly. He'd be the third man ever to be a former middleweight champ who won a Heavyweight title.

If he beat a Prime-RJJ than yeah, but not an RJJ who lost to Danny Green ffs.
