he said alot of things, some of which i think went too far. but what he said about people living vicarious through him is EXACTLY what you see on this board in every literal sense, and its not exactly a healthy way to be. I dont think he should have insulted the phillipines as a country, but he is correct the obession over him makes it so that places like this get flooded with nonstop discussion and retread topics about him and every aspect of his life.

Literally everyday i get to hear about how great he is, new articles everyday trashing his rivals. Everyday i get to hear how nobody, in some extreme cases, how pac is on ali's level and closing in on ray robinson. How people are arguing if his legacy overpowers roberto duran, or how hed sc**** pernell whitaker.

I think manny pacquiao has one of the most loyal but also obessive fanbase of any in sports, and while its a good thing in many ways, in some ways its not and just being a regular visitor on this board is an example. We all know about the floyd ****riders, the mexican margarito sympathizers etc, but they pale in comparison to the sheer volume of manny pacquiao fans and their ability to endlessly tear apart his rivals.

Once i saw that they were petitioning to have mayweather dropped from his sponsership, thats when i knew it was reaching a point of idol worship in many ways.

Carollas statements are xenophobic in the highest order, but racist? No. To me, people always want to act like they have some special connection to a place they werent born, in some cases, have never been. Cant view the podcast or whatever was posted by the TS, But i have to say i admire the TS snd dsigner dan and another poster Pacmanis1. Both who seem to be genuine Pac fans, It seems you cannot be a Pac fan if you dont have your head up his as* on here, Critising a fighter is also a part of being a fan nothing wrong with it. These is one of the reason i hated some of Ricky Hatton fans, And am glad they are all gone now, I have never seen obsession like it before and am not even talking about Hatton fans on boxingscene, I couldnt wait till he got KO..I even had the pressure of watching the Mayweather/Hatton fight in a Hatton filled obsess pub, I was rubbing my hands laughing because i knew he would be taken apart by Mayweather. Pacquiaio lost in the last election 4 years ago where he spent around 400 000 000 PHP against a girl Darlene Antonino who spent only around 20 000 000 and Darlene won by a landslide.
