Well Marquez is not really a PPV Fighter but he does well in the live gate...Marquez has fought both Pacquiao and Mayweather and those PPVs were successful but Marquez was never the A-side of those PPVs, infact the only time when he was in the A-side of a PPV he did 100,000 buys against Casamayor (Another name) meaning even with a dance partner Marquez could do 100K max.Just happens that lightweight was one of the most decorated Mexican fighters out there. Not that i care or i think it matters much but i would lean towards Pac/Clottey being the more successful PPV. Only 300,000 less against a former p4p champ 1st fight back out of retirement fighting one of Mexico's best. Not bad.
Just saying Mayweather-Marquez did impressive numbers (1 million) considering they were going head-to-head against a major UFC Event and the fight itself according to many was considered as a tune-up/joke bout against a blown up lightweight (things got worst when floyd weighed 146 lbs). People here were predicting it would do under 400kComment
