he looks like he could deveop into a dangerous fighter, but he lacks skill......lanardo tyner exposed his tecnical defiiciencies a bit, since saul couldnt hurt him like all the bum's he has blown out.....

Well tyner is a very slick fighter. It's hard to look good against
a slick fighter. But it was good experience for alvarez.

I wish the Matthew Hatton fight would have happened...It would have been a great opportunity for him test his skills against a somewhat average WW (well he did pretty good against a past his prime, journeyman Lovemore N'Dou who didn't spar for two weeks before the fight...I suppose that's almost average). If he were to KO Matt, I'd give him A LOT of respect, and he'd have a great shot at becoming Mexico's next big thing. And the crazy part about it is, he's only 19!

I've been wanting to see him destroy that disgraceful boxer JJC Jr for quite some time. I hope Chavez Jr grows some cojones and fights him.

The Kid is Good, but I am not ready to Put a Chavez Label on him just yet. Reminds me of an out of control version of JuanManuel Marquez, but Saul has as many Flaws as he does Qualites. From what i seen the Kid has Above Average power but he loops every right Left and telegraphs the RightCross way to early, for me to think he could put a pounding on the Elite of the Division. Most of the Fights i could find of Alvarez had a bunch of Guys standing right in front of Alvarez without much lateral movement, which led to Saul landing those Big Looping punches or the RightCross. But Mayweather PacMan Mosley and even Berto would give Alvarez problems with their Foot Work and we would find Alvarez missing repeatedly. Alvarez needs to learn to straighten his punches more to be effective against the TOp Fighters or will be Blowout Losses on the ScoreCards. The other problem is that when Alvarez throws his Power Shots, he puts his Chin at considerable risk against counters from Quality Opponents. I am sure Alvarez has got a solid Chin, but a chin can only take so much..ask Margarito or Andrade. The Good Thing is that Saul is barely 20 years old and has room to Grow with the Right Trainer. The Bad thing is that he signed with Golden Boy and they will surely *** up his Career. Golden Boy is talking about not rushing the Kid but at the same time stating a fight with Mayweather is a year away and calling him the Next Chavez. Fan and Media Pressure will make sure that Canelo is rushed into Big Fights against opponents he will not be ready for, considering his Flaws. And i Hope Golden BOy doesnt THrow the kid under the Bus like they did to Juan Manuel Marquez if he loses.

How did GBP throw JMM under the bus? They offered him a big fight with Khan.
