I dont get it. Are you talking about Pacquiao-Clottey or Wlad-Chambers?

Actually, I'm just talking about people and how they're quick to discredit the winner of a fight, as if the loser was doing so much.

Yet, managed to lose. Seems, weird to me.

Wladimir-Chambers is the fight someone brought up, so I brought that fight into it. But regardless, I think the loser is VIRTUALLY always to blame. There are rare occasions, but that's what they are.. rare.

You and I both have opinions. They don't prove anything.

Oscar did a lot for 6 rounds. And the first few rounds were relatively exciting. Competitive. Then, he faded off and allowed Floyd to pot shot. Think of it this way. Oscar ALLOWED him to pot shot. Who's fault would that be?

And if the pot shotting made the fight boring, and it's Oscar's fault for allowing it, then is it really Floyd's fault? He won. He did what he had to do. He did his damage. Oscar didn't force the fight to change. If he had, the fight might have lived up (impossible, since the fight was hyped up so much, that virtually no fight would have lived up to that billing.) However, he didn't. And the fight suffered. It's OSCAR'S fault.

And I'm an Oscar fan.

Oscar kept moving forward, floyd ran and potshot, refused to mix in, thus a boring split decision. Yes its what floyd had to do (in his world), but your thread title says blame the loser.

No fight couldve lived to the hype, but it didnt even amount to a quarter of the hype.

i wont argue with that...

and i understand why most find certain fights boring, i however, generally dont... i like watching winky-esque fighters fight... i like watching wlad fight (although for some reason i was hoping he'd lose this time)...

but its all about preferences i guess... i'd find a 1-0 baseball game boring as sin but a baseball enthusiast might find the "pitchers duel" to be exciting as ****....

either way... there's always going to be haters and bitchers...

This I can agree with. I like competition. I can watch a home run fest, or a pitchers batter. I can watch Pacquiao and Calderon back to back. I like it all for different reasons.

Oscar's. He should have tried harder. And if he could never get the job done, then it's his fault for signing up for the fight.

If you pay to watch a basketball game and one team is far better than the other. So, they do enough to win, takes easy shots and cruises to a victory. It's the other teams fault for sucking. They should have played better.

You can make a claim that the other team should just light the other team up. But.. what for? Take wild shots, and give the other team a chance to get some turn overs and actually make that favored team look bad?

in some cases but not always. in wlad-chambers i think it was both guys fault. chambers didnt want to win he just wanted to survive, wlad shouldve put it on him alot sooner. chambers fault it was a bad fight but wlad didnt help. but he won the fight and thats what matters so u cant be mad at him, chambers just came to pick up a check, thats a disgrace.
