Comments Thread For: Cunningham-Godfrey Off For Good Over Verbal Mishap?

BoxingScene.com has been advised that Steve Cunningham vs. Matt Godfrey is once again in jeopardy of being off, and this time the fight will be off for good. The two cruiserweights are scheduled to fight for the vacant IBF title on March 26 at the UIC Pavilion in Chicago, Illinois. ESPN is going to televise the fight. Considering the whirlwind of drama in the last two weeks, Mayweather-Pacquiao seems like an easier fight to make. [Click Here To Read More]

Cunningham should get out of the cruiser weight division and move up to Heavyweight.

Godfrey should fight him or Cunningham should fight on March 26th regardless.

It's hard for me to get excited about boxing. Cloud-Johnson was a fight I was really looking forward to and now it's off. Andre Ward's situation isn't nearly as bad, but it's still disappointing that the tournament may be slowed down because of it. Next it will be Pavlik and Cintron pulling out of their respective fights. Just watch. The whole schedule for the first half of the year will go up in smoke.

Of course this situation has more to do with politics than injuries.
