Most of the top 10, 15, and 20 heavyweights have losses, but they are often to some of the best fighters at that time, oftentimes losing two of three or one of three.

Wlads losses are a real detriment to his career, even if they didnt take place in the so called "prime" of his career.
I'm not really sure why the Puritty loss factors in at all.

Less than 2 years as a pro, over 11 years ago. In a fight Wlad would've easily won had it not been a 12 rounder for some garbage belt.

      • top 20 easily, possibly top 10 or higher. the thing with the klits is they didn't beat any great heavyweights but i think that is because no one could become great, they are so dominate with their size. in my opinion holyfield, tyson and guys like that would get demolished by them. they are physically sick specimens. i dont know, i personally think vitali is better and vitali has never really lost. there was byrd where he withdrew because he tore his rotator cuff, and he was up on cards. and of course there was lewis, where he had a brutal cut, cause by punch though, but i had him winning when the fight was stopped, so did the judges, and i think vitali would have kept going, he wanted to, and possibly still have one the fight, though he probably wouldn't have an eye anymore. and lewis retired and backed out of the rematch. my point is, i think vitali is the better man in the ring, and i would have him ranked higher than wlad.

It's interesting that you can describe that fight accurately, but completely neglect the very same, the exact same happening and effect on W Klitschko in the Sanders fight.

          Why??

          • he isnt hated because hes white, its because hes been ko'd 3 times at 3 separate points in his career....after each one they claimed he was a new fighter.....personally i think he ranks 20-30 alltime and i think he should be top 10 p4p current if he gets this win.....

Where do you have him? Because outside of 10 is insane.
              Probably something around these lines:

              1. Muhammad Ali
              2. Joe Louis
              3. Jack Johnson
              4. Jack Dempsey
              5. Rocky Marciano
              6. George Foreman
              7. Gene Tunney
              8. Larry Holmes
              9. Lennox Lewis
              10. Ezzard Charles

              Honorary mention to Bob Fitzsimmons.

It's far from a perfect list but... there you go.

                • Right now i think he's top 15, But if he finishes his career on a good note then probably top 10. If he reaches 60 wins which is only 6 wins away, And I see no reason to say he won't, and if he reaches 20 title defense which is only 7 fights away then I'd defientley top 10. I already think he has passed Tyson up.

                  • Head 2 head, I rank him TOP10. Name me more than ten fighters, who would be able to defeat the current Wlad (except for a lucky punch).

Accomplishment-wise, he is somewhere TOP30. Not enough legit competition out there. The KO-ratio, the number of "never-KOd before" or "unbeaten" on his resummee are impressive, though. His three losses are underwhelming.

The "intangibles" are even lower - he does not fight excitingly, and he does not stirr up "wars" like Foreman vs. Ali or Frazier vs. Ali. And the only thing like this comes from Haye, not Wlad.

                    Total: TOP15.

                    • If you put not in Top 100, well that's just ignorant as ****, I'm sorry, but you're not a boxing fan, you're a Klit Hater.

How can you NOT have this guy in the top 25 when he would beat most of the top 25 of all time?
