I'm 99.9% positive that the fight is off. Who would want to see a person with a positive test compete? That goes against the spirit of what they are trying to accomplish.

Speculation, based on other sports and the actions that they have taken. Cycling for example kicks you out for a few years.

My guess would be the fight is canceled and the guy whose clean gets payed form the other fighter and that guy would be subjected to a lawsuit for breach of contract or something like that.

              Just the irony
i wouldn't be surprised. it would be the perfect excuse to avoid fighting Mosley or Pac and getting KOd by either.

boxing is unique from all other sports and the punishment/non-punishments it administers...we cant take a precedent from cycling and think boxing will follow suit and use it as a template

How much would he get paid? I doubt he would be able to pay the guarantee purse. The purse comes from the PPV buys. If there is no PPV there is no money And, I don't think a lawsuit can happen either unless IMO.

I am going to speculate and say if somebody tests positive they will keep it quiet have the fight go on and penlize after the fight is over.

Or just cancel the fight all together. But, that makes no sense cuz they will lose millions.

Yeah at the end of the day we didnt get every single detail. It could play out where the fight goes on and you have to forfeit a percentage of your purse to the opponent. Maybe you have to pay upfront money. Maybe the title get stripped in Shanes case. Lots of different things can happen.
