It made no sense to me either. You don't make noise with Kolle, he wasn't more money either. He might of been less money to tell you the truth. I am starting to think he had to move cuz he was having trouble making wieght maybe?

Maybe it had to do with weight issues but I think he just wanted to prove to the boxing world how good and versatile a fighter he is- by moving up two weight classes effortlessly and dominating good opposition, save Koll..

However, it seems to have hurt his career because he has so much trouble getting big fights against marque name fighters....

That move just made no sense. I don't think it made sense at the time. And, right now that move is hurting his career iMO.

cause Kolle was a MW and he had his eye on pavlik

And it would have worked except for the staph infection. Pwill was getting no bites in the ww division. this is too easy.

But, Kolle was a nobody. He could of made a bigger noise fighting a better fighter. And, if that is the case then he should of fought Pavlik. When Pavlik offered him the fight bofore Pavlik fought Hopkins. But, Williams team outpriced themselves out. But, nobody likes to mention that...

And, again you having a belt at WW at the time was could of have gotten him bites. Fight your mandatory and that would of possibly forced Cotto to fight him. The WW division had the bigger and more deeper names then MW. You still could of Quintana a third time. Collazo was out there. Even Clottey was calling him out at the time. And, Joshua had a title also.
Wiliams wanted to check his durability against MW's. So he's going to go up 2 weight classes to fight the recognized MW champ? That's the reason Kelly wanted the fight then, not later when they saw Paul can hang.

I disagree 100% with the bold and with he entire assertion that he had more options at WW. One pavlik fight after a real fight to warm up at MW and you made not only history, but a lot more money than he would have with any 2 of the fights you mentioned (especially Quinatana 3). and you know for damn sure Cotto wasn't going to fight Pwill. That's suicide right there.

Kolle was a case of needing a fighter late if I remember, but that's not 100% for sure.

The minute a poster starts stating how pw wanted no part of clottey after being called out, he loses all credibility and the thread needs to be closed. Go and research why the pw/clottey fight didnt happen.

We get it. U dont like PW williams. Ur fav fighter aint fighting him though so thats all that matters.
