The problem with Foreman is that he isn't aggressive. Aggressive fighters give Cotto the most trouble. He's fought boxers, speed fighters, but the people who give him the most issues are volume punchers and pressure fighters and Foreman is neither one of them.

And to be honest, if he weighs at a 151-152 that might be a really good weight for him and his power would definitely transfer since he's not having to cut more weight. Foreman's got good Boxing ability, but even against a faded Santos he couldn't go for the kill.

I think this is Cotto's fight to win if he's truly not totally shot.

I actually can't give Cotto any **** for beating Quintana because he was highly regarded at the time and went on to give Williams his first loss.
I keep hearing about the whole Michael Jennings nonsense. Why didn't P-Will let Cotto do that? Why didn't he just fight his mandatory in Jennings instead of going up to 160 and fight a nobody in Andy Kolle?

Come on boss. HBO wouldn't even touch a Williams-Jennings fight with a ten foot pole and even though Verno Phillips was past his prime he is a way better fighter than Jennings is and he was ranked in the top three of the weight class even though he got stripped of the IBF title for no good reason because he had just beat Spinks. Speaking of that, who was Phillips' mandatory at the time, because the IBF had a ****ty reason for stripping him.

And you ask why did Williams fight Andy Kolle. I agree it wasn't a good win, but it was a stay busy fight and the Phillips fight was already set in stone I believe when Williams beat Kolle. And HBO wouldn't even televise Cotto-Jennings either.

I am not talking about Williams-Phillips fight. Jennings was P-Will mandatory when Williams decided to fight a nobody in Kolle. Why not just take care of your mandatory instead of fighting a nobody in Kolle?

Jennings could of been the stay busy fight instead of Kolle plus P-Will wouldn't of have gotten stripped. He fought Kolle on September of 08. Cotto fought Jenning in Feb of 09. BUt, Jenning was still the mandatory for P-WIll by the time he fought Kolle. It just made no sense at all to fight Kolle instead of Jennings IMO.

And, I think Lattimore was Phillips mandatory. Or maybe Spinks. I know they fought for the vacant title. But, it was bull**** reason to strip Phillips. Williams should of rightfully won that belt. But, I blame Williams for loosing that WBO belt he should of fougth Jennings instead of Kolle and he would of not of gotten stripped and if Cotto wanted a belt it would of forced him to either fight P-Will, Clottey, Shane, or Berto in Feb of 09. Williams probably would of still had his WBO belt at 147 right now if he would of fought Jennings. Pacquiao wouldn't even of had that belt. And, right now Williams would of been in better position if he would of fought Jennings instead of a nobody in Kolle.

You've got a point I guess. But hell, HBO wouldn't even televise a Clottey-Williams fight for some reason or another. They had an agenda. Williams had to move up in weight because he just couldn't get any meaningful fights at 147, and it has somewhat silenced the people who claim he's too big for that weight class.

If he gets past Foreman I think his only options are to either fight P Williams or retire.

Personally I would like to see Cotto fight a beatable challenge after he fights (and probably beats) Foreman.

I would also like to see him do this in Puerto Rico. He hasn't fought in PR since the Urkal fight in 2007 and I like to see fighters like Cotto go out with a win in front of their home crowd. It's why DLH should've hung em out after beating Forbes.

Maybe a Kermit Cintron fight would make sense.

And, I get the whole HBO thing but HBO didn't televise Andy Kolle either. So that does not excuse him for fighting Kolle instead of Jennings. I would agree if HBO bought the Kolle fight but they didn't. So I still understand why didn't he just fight his mandatory instead of a nobody in Kolle?

funny... how u cant debate Jrosales argument.. and quickly u go into a shell.. OHH I GUESS U GOT A POINT THERE! but but but whenever u have a chance to diss cotto or any rican fighter u jump without hesitate... u see kid... why is funny everytime u come with that ****ty argument that cotto only fought for vacant belts.. when he have defend them against the top guys.... too bad .. that williams name isnt that worthy in the game.. cos he really deserve it.... but it is what it is..

with that being said, I give williams his props.. because hes the only fighter climbing the mountain the hardway....

i dont think that foreman's level of opposition has ever come close to cotto's. Yes, he is a champion but who has he fought? And cotto is definitely gonna carry something special into the ring that night, "his father's spirit"! Sounds Crazy but that will be the difference in cotto's performance.
