Pacquiao has choices.....Mayweather doesn't (except for his rematch clause)

By the way, that's Pac's entire resume at 135, one of his championship divisions. David Diaz.
That was his first fight there. Diaz was a top 5 LW, arguable top 3 since diaz lost and dropped in rankings. Another thing is he would have more than likely fought Cambell or Casamayor next, but Oscar came calling. Everyone knows you don't turn down the cashking, and the gateway to stardom in boxing. You beat Oscar you automatically become as star in the sport, on top of being a top earner and draw.

It's called avenging loss. Pac did the right thing Coach. You know he did.

Yes I'm a Pac fan, I have never denied that. I have always felt real bad for you because in all of those other threads.....I sonned the **** outta you. That **** still bothers my conscience even to this day. Real Talk

My avatar is in support of one of my favorite boxers...Koki Kameda, who has a career defining fight coming up in a couple of weeks. Also I actually contribute to boxingscene, which is why I have ribbons etc, something a piece of **** like you fails to do. People show love and my profile is a reflection of it.

But to answer your question....there was an agreement to a rematch before the EMM vs Raheem fight was signed. Also Pac had just recently moved to 130 and was moving up weight fast. His team felt 135 was too big for him (at the time) and wouldn't even rematch Morales there.
No, I would not have had a field day. But if there was an agreement there, that is understandable. Sort of like Floyd-Zab situation. But could he have eventually fought Raheem, OF COURSE! I thought he should have.

Arum was ONLY going to put him in there with a Top Rank fighter, even if the others were available, IMO. He was pissed at GBP and he wanted to keep his money to himself.

Just like Floyd with Baldomir. It made sense in every aspect for him to fight Baldy over Tony, so I never knock him for that move.
Yes, I like Manny. I'm not going to sit here and lie to you. I'm a bigger Mayweather fan though. And you don't see me hating on Manny, boy stop. I've been critical of Manny since December 09 with his 29,33039,033 excuses why not to take a blood test AFTER he agreed to.

That's interesting. Floyd fought for The Ring belt in his first fight at 135.

but rea ltalk, I guarantee you these guys would have a field day if Pac fought Raheem instead of avenging his loss. There would be countless threads on how Manny ducked Morales.

As I said, I wouldn't have a field day with it. Its understandable. That does not change the fact that he could have avenged his lost, THEN beat the guy that beat Morales.

OK, you can have that. But he still could have fought Raheem after he beat Morales.
